We may have to practice a few forward passes, mostly to get stats, but pretty certain we're gonna make them try to stop the run.

I predict Sam calls off the dawgs midway through 3rd and we gain 400 on the ground.

I looked at the roster for Cincinnati and they have quite a bit of upperclassmen returning. More experience than I thought. Arkansas isn't going to roll this team and considering that Arkansas has lost to way less talented teams, it would be no shock.

Arkansas couldn't roll Toledo and lost but yet beat better teams in the SEC. These stars from high school means very little when these players are 21, 22 years old and are well developed similar to many power five teams.

Cincy has good coaches. Should be obvious that they will load the box as they MUST slow down the rushing game. They’ll blitz plenty and probably go man in the secondary. Briles doesn’t call many screens, so why not?

Hogs WR corp is going to get a chance to show whether they belong early.

Hogs D is solid, but Cincy has a very good offense and the young QB (Prater) is the real deal….they will score. They have all 5 OLineman back, along with a transfer back from LSU….hogs DLine is unproven. Cincy will actually run the ball I suspect.

Mistakes and takeaways will determine the outcome.

Sam said maybe last week or the week before that Cincinnati blew so many teams out last year that the backups played plenty of snaps. They have a lot of upperclassmen and the QB that will start is a senior that threw over 3,000 yards at Eastern Michigan. So it isn't like Cincinnati will completely start from scratch when they have as much as experience as Arkansas.

Fickle will go into his sixth season 5-0 in season openers. His player development and picking up good transfers is why they continue to have double digit seasons.

All things considered we have 2 programs trending up with very good coaching and plenty of talent on the field. Yep, Cincy is a bit younger and Hogs have the edge here.

It’s a betting line. I wouldn’t touch it at hogs -10. Wouldn’t surprise me if Hogs win by 2 or by 2TDs.

"Well, the money must still think Arkansas is the same Arkansas that was losing to teams like San Jose st, Colorado st, Missouri, and north Texas. Or they think there isn’t much of a drop from the team that played in the playoffs last year or maybe some of both."

What a loser

Honestly, I’m more concerned about the drop from 8.5 to 6.5 than I am with just the 6.5.

I agree Fickle is a REALLY good coach.

Day at OSU better start winning the big games (and a Natty) or he is gonna be replaced with Fickle.

Does this seem low? Arky has a solid amount of hype and I think for good reason. Cincy lost a ton. Why isn't this a 2 score line in Fayetteville? What am I missing?

Because Cincinnati's still good, just not playoff good.

Still, under a TD, take the Hogs and the points.

The Cincinnati offense has three redshirt seniors. Three seniors. Three juniors. Two redshirt sophomores.

The Cincinnati defense has four redshirt seniors. Three seniors. Two juniors. A redshirt freshman and a redshirt sophomore.

The Arkansas offense has three redshirt seniors. Three seniors. Three redshirt juniors. One junior and one sophomore.

The Arkansas defense has four redshirt seniors. One senior. Three redshirt juniors. Three juniors.

Both have no edge in experience.

Example A as to why the spread is what it is. He doesn't even know why it's going to be a close a game but it surely has to do with the past two college football seasons otherwise an explanation would be provided.

Please post a pic of your bet slip. Im excited to know how much you have put down on the Hogs.

I think we win, but Im not naïve enough to think it cant be a close game. We were behind by 2 scores in the 3rd quarter to Rice last year
