Does this seem low? Arky has a solid amount of hype and I think for good reason. Cincy lost a ton. Why isn't this a 2 score line in Fayetteville? What am I missing?

Man I'm nervous about this one.... probably by the way we opened the season last year. Very underwhelming. I feel like the quality of opponent will help with that this year but still.... first game... who knows what to expect.

Arkansas’ offense is a known commodity and Fickell had all off-season to plan for it. Cinci will not lay down. Good chance it’s a close game. The spread seems about right to me.

Bama showed everybody how to beat Cincy. Just run right at them. Bama was not the best rushing team in the SEC last year. No, that would be Arky. Cincy going down.

Nothing. It will probably be a close game as Arkansas last year struggled against Rice and they led at the half. Then Arkansas began to figure things out and scored three TDs in the fourth quarter. I expect a similar game to Rice. First game of the year for both teams brings a lot of question marks. Arkansas as of late hasn't played very well against division one opponents. So the line is where it needs to be.

Arkansas beat Rice, Texas, Georgia Southern and A&M.

I think he meant Game 1 against Rice. We were down 17-7 midway through the 3rd quarter until we eventually pulled away to win 31-17.

I think it depends on how early Catalon gets ejected for a cheap targeting call.

Arkansas will do but Bama had and still has better WR depth and Arkansas had Burks last year. With so many new faces at WR, the passing offense could be a work in progress. Now going into this game, Arkansas has better depth at that position but they are inexperienced and unproven. Cincinnati will stack the box and force Jefferson to throw at his young WRs. If Jefferson can't find a rhythm with the new WRs then Arkansas could be in some trouble. This is why the line isn't bigger.

Arkansas doesn't have tremendous depth that will blow away opponents like Cincinnati in the first game. It didn't happen last year against Rice and you would have to look back and find a division one opponent that they blew out from start to finish.

Cincinnati may have lost nine players to the draft but they get a lot of transfers from power five schools and so they certainly have the talent to upset Arkansas which wouldn't be an upset as both teams are roughly ranked the same.

KJ’s first start was last season and 1st time Briles had a returning starter. Our WR’s aren’t young guys either

I just don’t see it

We'll beat Cincinnati by 17 or more. Bama ran for 300 yards on them in the CFP. Cincinnati lost 7 starters off of that defense. We led the P5 last year in rushing with a 228 rushing ypg. We have 4/5 returning OL starters, KJ and 3 stud running backs. We will run all over them.

They are breaking in a new QB....they had 9 players drafted. They aren't Bama or UGA and just simply reload.

Hogs - 34
Cincy - 17

The transfers aren't young but the rest are. Sam said Warren Thompson was the most improved WR in the practices but that is just practice not a live game. He didn't look very good against Penn State, allowing a TD to be intercepted. But maybe that will change but that is a question mark. You never know what you will get with these transfers. They often get a lot of hype out of high school then they either get hurt or buried on the depth chart. They transfer and they don't live up to the hype but we're just average players from the start.

Public is 76 % on the hogs but line keeps moving in favor of cinci. In other words, Big sharp money is coming in on Cinci.

Why?

Well, the money must still think Arkansas is the same Arkansas that was losing to teams like San Jose st, Colorado st, Missouri, and north Texas. Or they think there isn’t much of a drop from the team that played in the playoffs last year or maybe some of both.

I don’t know, I can’t figure it but I’ve learned to trust when public is heavy on one side but the line is moving the other side. If I followed this and Arkansas wasn’t involved, id bet Cincinnati .

When it comes to Arkansas football, I don’t get with my head so i tend to stay away because my heart says bet heavy on Arkansas but my head says follow the money and bet cinci.

I just don’t know. I still think Arkansas wins but maybe I’m over confident thinking we win by two scores.

Good grief some hog fans, like the Bama fans said, run right at them. We played the toughest schedule last year and lead the Power 5 in rushing. Run, Run, Run throw over the top and repeat. Hogs win by two touchdowns.

I was impressed with Cincinnati's defense last year. They weren't equipped up front but they played hard and didn't miss tackles. I know they lost quite a bit but I think Fickel knows what he is doing and has a solid program up there.

I'd guess they compete hard but Arkansas wears on them and stretches it out late.
