I don't think there is an announcement. Just him possibly flipping.

Any legs to this? When does he announce?

He's a '25 guy, so no rush for him to flip.

Seeing how DeBoer just had two 1000 yard receivers has to be tempting to all the top WRs.

Man, really wanted DJ Barber from Clay Chalkville if we were only going to take 1 inside LB this cycle. Gotta trust Saban on this one. But DJ is awesome on and off the field.

Don't know if mentioned, but DE Adyen Moore committed as PWO.

He is the brother of Malachi Moore.

Question for those in the know, regarding walkons. If a school wants to cheat the 85 scholarship limit, whats to stop them from from offering a player a walkon spot and just tell that they'll add $50K to their NIL deal to cover tuition?

BYU has an NIL deal that sorta does this:
quote:

While some felt the NCAA's rule of allowing athletes to profit from their name, image and likeness (NIL) would create chaos, it is proving to be a positive change for athletes at Brigham Young University.

On Thursday, Built Brands—a company that produces protein, protein bars and energy products—announced a multi-year NIL agreement that will include compensation to all 123 members of the Cougars' football team as well as provide full tuition for walk-on players.

Wait this can't be right. So you mean to tell me Auburn got their best cruiting head coach ever pushing the culture to the max even after 4&31 and they couldn't out recruit Bama experiencing a coaching transition. I'm shocked I tell ya

I want to say I saw some FSU fans bragging about their NIL deals doing the same to handle the loss of scholarships.

Got to attend the National Signing Day event at Bryant Denny yesterday for the first time. It was packed. I didn’t take notes but going from memory, Greg Byrne spoke briefly about the alliance and said a new model for athletics would be coming. Until then we have to work with what we have. (Collectives and NIL)

Coach DeBoer spoke and gave “polished”, mostly of the cuff remarks. I thought he did great. Talked about holding 93% of the 2024 class together. Now that NSD has passed and we’re in the dead period coaches will work on getting their families here. Also acknowledged social media and how important it is to modern day players and the recruiting process.

Each of the assistant coaches came up and introduced themselves and talked about each of the 2024 players they would coach. Lots of energy and humor. Also Courtney Morgan spoke briefly.

Tyler Booker and Justice Haynes came up and did a Q&A with Dunaway and Shuttles and were great as well.

All in all a great afternoon and left me with a positive feeling that the future is bright.

These kids just make me laugh when it comes to recruiting. Here is a quote from Saraland’s Antonio Coleman after a visit to Alabama:

quote:

“I’m definitely 100 percent still with Auburn, but Alabama is not yet left out,” he said on Wednesday.

Haha

Not quite into flip range yet. Anything between 101-110% means a flip is in the works.

He’s going to flip back. And I think Alabama flips KJ Lacey too, if they pursue heavily. But I think Deuce Knight is the QB to watch for the 2025 class.
