Bucki, if you have been paying attention you know the Pac additions having been talking about the extra travel cost for the non-revenue sports.
This idea of playing across four time zones is going to wreck the travel budgets for the Pac additions and the big ten teams traveling west.
The conference is going to need those extra funds to defray additional costs.
I don't know how much control the Calif Board of Regents has
over UCLA's move but you know they are not happy about it, not just a little bit.
I know Los Angeles is a huge TV market but how many people there watch college football?
UCLA's home attendance is pitiful and USC's home attendance is not much better.
That is for UCLA/USC to worry about, not me. They knew what they were getting into and most likely had it figured out when they joined.
USC and UCLA have huge followings and will be must-see TV now that they are in the B1G.

Fickle fans
UCLA peaked with Wooden
USC peaked with Pete
Nobody is going to get excited for UCLA @ Rutgers
tLandmass plays Alabama and folks tune in.

ESPN's huge money projections in 2011 for the LHN network say hi.
It made huge money for Texas and continues to do so, but that's not what's being discussed here. Take your obsession with Texas to one of the other dozen threads y'all have started about us and stop trying to derail this one.

No they don't...
SoCal follow Pro football, not college

LA is like any other city, win and they love you. Now that UCLA/USC have rid themselves of the bums on their coattails, they will produce huge numbers for us.

But not any national titles

Tell me again how those titles helped you during your last TV rights negotiations.

I think it's cute that you think Florida has been relevant lately. The Gators have been as relevant as Vandy since Urban and Tebow left town.
Lol I’m the first one to say it. We’ve sucked for a decade. How does it feel knowing we have more national titles in the last 15 years than y’all do in 40 when we have sucked lol.
Way to ignore every other point I made as well. Big10 has 1 team in the last 20 years win a ship. The SEC has 3 different teams win a ship the last 3 years.
Pretty sure this penn state pedo is just hear to try to pick up some kids on this board. He can’t even defend his positions. Can we ban this guy?

If you can't beat them, ban them.

“When ESPN’s new contract with the SEC starts in 2024, it projects that it will garner 63% of all college football viewership minutes for people between the ages of 18-49.”
So, basically the SEC got screwed with the deal we signed (again). If ESPN's own projections are anywhere accurate, we should be making significantly more than the B10 package. B10 would be at 37% viewership if not a single person watched an ACC, Pac 12, or Big 12 game.

Florida was in the SEC championship 2 years ago and played Alabama 3 TD’s closer than Ohio State?

Right after you tell me how making all that money helps the Big Ten to win National Titles..
The SEC averages 3 NC per decades since 1950. The Big Ten has won 3 NC in football since 1970
So the Big Ten makes more money the SEC is killing the National Titles (which is why the games are played)
Laughing at you

Every Alabama game on tv, everywhere
But Alabama wins the National Title regularly
However if you think those southern cities are tuning in to the Big Ten games, you are only deceiving yourself.

You all are so sweet. You guys keep bringing up all of your titles in every other post and good for you but the people who matter will always view the B1G as 1 and the SEC as 2.
Who exactly are the people that matter? Top level recruits? Nope. NFL scouts? Nope. Coaches? Nope. Please let us know who these super important people are. Thanks.
