Of Ohio States starting 24…the only portal player is Downs.annd Howard. Other portal players like McLaughlin and Simmons are hurt and Judkins is basically 2nd string to Trey Henderson. If Judkins wasn’t here..Henderson would get more touches and that is certainly no drop off. Fact of the matter is with only one starter from the portal..Ohio State May have the least portal starters of any Power 4 team in the country.

As far as Caleb Downs. His father is freinds with OSU db coach Tim Walton growing up in Georgia. He almost went to OSU out of high school. When Saban left it was a foregone conclusion that he was going to Ohio State. He even took a little less money than Georgia offered.
I do agree he is a difference maker. Bama might have been 1 or 2 games better with him. I heard Bama fans criticize their DC for playing a 4-2-5. Fact is that is what Ohio State plays and is the best defense in America because of their safety play. The defense is not flawed..the execution needs to be there to be as great as OSU

What are they suppose to do…let all these guys go to Georgia, Miami, or Oregon? We lost a qb that just set single season record for ACC that stood for over 00 years. Don’t we deserve to replace him?

Have any of you watched cfb lately? Hand fighting and jersey tugging happens on nearly every single play. The Tx wr wasn’t open anyway. Hancock was right there..same with last play..had Ewers got it off..it was covered.
Watch a replay and the tugging Tx did on Jer. Smith. Nothing egregious was missed…normal game with normal calls. Don’t embarrass yourself by bringing up the referees in this game. It was a slugfest by two teams that played tough and hard all night.m

I think something to remember about NIL and Midwest teams like OSU. We aren’t spending the kind of money on a baseball team that it takes to win the SEC or CWS. We can funnel that 8-10 mil to football.

Official attendance was 102,800. Stadium record is over 110,000. I’d say there were 25-30,000 Vol fans. Ticketmaster likely leaked the code

Students not at school played into some of it. Michigan hangover and saving for Rose Bowl are other factors. If the game was at Neyland and the code was leaked..OSU would have had 20kmor more there too.

This ‘Tennessee takeover’ we’ve been hearing about is just more fake news out of the south. Columbus area hotels are not even reporting a typical OSU game…unless the Vols plan on driving home drunk after the game…there aren’t going to be near as many as they are spouting

and our fb kicker not that great either. If Ohio State had the reputation at fg kicker as we do at wr…we’d have another NC and be undefeated this year. Missing fg’s under 40 yards is just a killer.
I can see Tenny beating almost anyone in this field (at a nuetral site) and having their best day….but I’d much rather ride with a 5th yr Sr at QB than a fresh.

Since losing Remington award winning center McLaughlin and possible 1st round left tackle Simmons..it hasn’t been the same offense.
Tenny should limit the Buckeyes on offense but OSU’s defense will make some quick 3 and outs if Hoopla tries too much up tempo run game.
I expect a low scoring game. Both teams under 20,

There is no better statement to exclaim that Oklahoma has arrived and become a full fledged SEC. It’s the only conference that talks about 5 losses with the pride of a new father.

More than just yards..Arch had 31 consecutive games of 100 yards rushing or more. That stat is more impressive than any amount of rushing yards in a season
