I think it’s 03 LSU because that win guarantees we win the west even if we beat Arkansas in 15 we still have to beat lsu and state the next two weeks. My dark horse pick though is the FSU game to open the season in 16. Would be intrigued to see what that team could have done with coming out of that game with a win and some momentum and confidence and a healthy metcalf.

The 1 rule: it has to be within one score, no more than 8 points out of reach.

That is actually 2 rules if you include the rule about since 2000. Otherwise I would go back to 1980 and somefrickingbody would tackle Lindsay fricking Scott on a stupid arse crossing pattern.

01 Tennessee. Felt absolutely sick after that game.

I got this idea over at TexAgs where they all agreed LSU in 2012. Win that game and we’re in the natty.

Bold of you to just assume you guys would beat UGA in the SEC CG

i mean an entire extra game would still have needed to be played.
which i would wager would have taken more than a couple of plays to complete.

You honestly believe that ND team would have beaten us?

I guess the 2017 SECCG is up there, but we were spent so I don't think we had anything for the CFP.

Gus hurt you bad by continuing to play Kerrion Johnson in that game. It was pretty obvious he was not anywhere close to 100%. It may have made a difference or it may not have, but he should have gotten a fresh back in there for Johnson when it was obvious he was done. Gus was extremely stubborn.

i mean fricking Kentucky gave y'all a scare that season.

2021 Alabama. We win that game and we go to Atlanta for the SECCG, assuming the rest of the schedule plays out the same. We probably would have been skull-fricked by Georgia, but at least we would have made the SECCG and been a legit contender for the CFP.

2007 loss to ou, or 2014 loss to auburn. Both would have put us in NC game.

Mizzou didn't play Auburn in 2014

Obvious one is the 01 SECCG, but the 07 one would have been nice as well, also if we could have beaten Bama in 09, maybe Kiffin stays and maybe Saban's run isn't so dominant

imagine that, an aggie gets an idea over at Texags. Isn’t that the website where the cult goes to learn the group think? After all the chest bumps and bragging is over………. You’ve only beaten LSU twice in the past ten years. poor aggies

I still can’t for the life of me understand why sips aren’t on their shaggy board.

Obvious 2012 Alabama, but 2006 Florida is up there…we were at the 1 about to make it 14-0 when Jamarcus fumbled and the wheels came off…Had a damn kickoff go for a safety if I remember correctly. Win that one and well, who knows. 2006 was a really, really talented team…

3) Any single loss in an NC season (2011 LSU, 2012 aTm, 2015 Ole Miss, 2017 Auburn)
4) 2014 Ohio State

7) 2013 Auburn

was going to say 2014 State-Bama game. Win that one and I believe we win the Egg Bowl as well.
I forgot about this one. We got down early by a few scores and couldn’t come all the way back. I said 2017 because we should have beat Bama that night.

2001 Tennessee is it, Spurrier likely leaves with a second NC if 9/11 doesn't postpone that one.

2009 SEC is another one, although it was far from close. The team was a disaster at that point and had imploded from their own success. But win that game and there's no way we don't have a 14-0 4th NC.

Alabama was way better but a non dysfunctional Florida would have made it closer to a coin toss like 08.

2008 Ol' Miss.

We still win the natty, but I do miss the T-shirt.

Yes, I think we would have beaten ND that year.

I would say your team is in the middle of "LSU-ing" right now? Winning a title and following it up with a .500 record and a losing record?

Maybe you should just sit this one out?
I don't remember the last time we had a losing season along with a .500 season. I know we've had one, but it's been awhile.

***Just looked it up. 1995 and 1996.
