Tennessee. Those douche canoes sold their soul to the devil for the season, but ran into the Catholics who were promptly excused as soon as the CWS began.

I don't think they're "flash in the pan".

They were good last year (went to Omaha, 50 wins), 55+ wins this yr and they'll be good again next year

They appeared to be a shoe in to win it all but the lack of discipline and arrogance cost them when it counted. Damn shame the deserving kids on that team got screwed by stupidity.

The final rankings tell the tale of the lack of respect for the direction of the current leadership and supporting fanbase.

Hat’s off to the baseball gods for taking out the trash.

1989 Wichita State
whuh?

They were very good for a long stretch. Lost in the title game 3 times, including losses to LSU in 1991 and 1993.

That 1989 title was in the middle of a 15 year run where they were in Omaha 50% of the time.

College World Series runner-up:
1982, 1991, 1993

College World Series appearances:
1982, 1988, 1989, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1996

My vote is either Pepperdine in 1992 or Coastal Carolina.

I wanna jump in and rag on Tennessee, but Once Vitello Learns to chill out and control his emotions, he’s gonna be a superstar in this or another league. Not what this board wants to hear, but it’s true.

BYU 84 & GT 90 get my vote

Auburn 2010 was the clear champion, but they weren’t great a few years before and flat stunk in 2011 & 2012. Cam was a weirdo but that dude could ball. Then they snap back big in 2013. Auburn is the most unpredictable team in the SEC.

Villanova bball in 84/85, that Syracuse squad with Carmelo,

Tennessee won the CWS this year?

That's being on top.

The Crying viteLLo's didn't even make it to the dance, much less end up on top.
