2 out of 3 years we’ve run into the absolute buzzsaw of the NCAAT, Baylor in 21 and now UCONN. Would be shocked if they didn’t win it all.
I still think Duke would’ve beaten anybody else in the FF except UNC last year. Rivalry games anything can happen. One day we’ll get a break in the second weekend I hope
We don't need a break... We need to be the buzzsaw.

We were somewhere in the 14-16 range in this S16.
How exactly do you figure after knocking off Kansas?
We'd have had a pretty solid fighting shot against anyone other than Bama and Uconn and possibly Texas. Gonzaga lost worse than we did?
And hell, we beat SDSU, went to OT against creighton and lost to Bama by 3 on the road. Not that it matters at this point but somewhere in 4-10 feels pretty fair vs bottom 3…

One thing to consider about matchups we have been getting the last few years and seemingly running into "buzzsaws" in the Elite Eight or Sweet Sixteen...Muss has to start putting more emphasis on the regular season.
We can't continue to try and make runs as a 4-8 seed. I know, I know...no #1 seeds are not making the Final Four this year...but the path is so much easier as a 1-3 seed...Look at Bama's path this year that they shite away...There's a relatively generous gap in teams composition if you are seeded 1-3 going into the tournament where your competition is less in rounds 1-2...Obviously this is just my opinion.

Breaks are steps to building to a buzzsaw level. It doesn’t happen overnight. I’d be just fine “lucking” into a final four as having to beat great teams in later rounds. The elite 8’s are the first steps, once Muss finally gets us back to the FF the sky is the limit.

Agreed. I do think part of our problem was blowing our load on Kansas for sure.
We just beat Kansas and the team simply wanted to talk about how successful they were for just that and about all the drama and how they showed themselves. Jordan Walsh even said something stupid about the 94 team and how he wants everyone to talk about how good they were not the 94 team....
This team lacked the mental toughness and ability to shoot needed to win it all at the end of the day. They had plenty of basketball talent.

Looks like the staff may be looking at juco SG Malachi Davis

Nothing screams natty like a JUCO SG that can't shoot. 26% from 3 and 67% FT line in fricking juco ball.

Texas up to 9 threes 25 minutes into the game. We made that many threes in an entire game one time this year.

Plenty of athletic ability but lacked true basketball skills.

The twins mother has been tweeting today and I hope it doesn’t get too many fans overly excited. I’d hate for someone to leave and folks get upset.

Malachi is averaging 37.5 PPG, 5 rebounds and 4 assists at HUTCH.
The HOTTEST name in America right now.

How many did Miami make?

If we can replicate that true shooting percentage then we can win. That’s a big ask though.
