I think he gets dry cleaned.

Dabo, otoh, looks like he never cleans himself.

Clemson hasn’t won since it was discovered they were stealing signals and now Venables is gone too. Of all the regular contenders Clemson is washed up.

During the playoff era Saban is 3-3. Swinney is 2-2. The number of 5* recruits doesn't matter. If Dabo got off his duff he could have just as many. One reason he is not better in playoff games is he doesn't recruit as well as Saban.

He was fortunate to win two.

Maybe. Of Dabo's two wins he got one off an illegal pick play or he would be 1-3, so....

Saban is 3-3 and has a more recent one. What is your point?

Lol Dabo doesn’t have a stud QB anymore to lead them to a ship. ACC is a joke so Clemson will still get in the playoff but the days of Clemson winning national titles is over with. It was a great run tho. That was a dominant team for a while.

They lost to unranked ACC opponents even with Deshaun Watson there.

Clemson's success has mostly been about the offense tho. You got to score in the modern era.

Yikes. Tell me in one sentence how you know nothing about college football. Even your own team. Your 2018 team had 3 1st rounders on the D line. You don’t think that was a major catalyst in winning a championship? Lol

They went to the title game four out of 5 years. That’s pretty dominant. Would they have done that in the SEC? Absolutely not but they went 2-2 in title games. They were a great team for a while. They are done now though. They aren’t stock piling talent out of the Carolina’s and Georgia like they were. They also probably never get those 2 college football Hall of Fame QBs out of Georgia if Kirby has UGA where they are now back when those guys were getting recruited. Watson stated a huge reason he didn’t even slightly consider UGA was bc of how late Richt offered him. Clemson had taken a huge hit on the recruiting trail.

I don't disagree. Just saying, at their most dominant with the best QB they'll ever have they still managed to lose to unranked ACC teams.

The Pitt team was one of the highest scoring teams in the country that year. LSU hired the OC after that season. That Clemson team went on to beat Alabama with Renfrow's clutch catch. That Clemson team had a bunch of bad turnovers all season that kind of overshadowed how good they were.

Only other unranked ACC lost by Clemson that comes to mind is the game at Syracuse with Kelly Bryant who was hurt to start and then knocked out with concussion. The playoff committee thought Clemson's resume was the best and seeded Clemson #1.

I think NCSU and Pitt both were ranked last year.

that wasn't the point I was making at all. Clemson's success was based on a balance of offense and defense. Last year we had a defense but not a offense. That cost us 3 games.

Watson only lost two games as a starter. The first title game with Alabama and a home game against Pitt, unless you are counting the game at G Tech in which he got hurt early and didn't finish.

not sure how you got multiple unranked ACC losses.

Regarding football, yes that would be a correct statement.

Lets look at posts from you going into the playoffs.

quote:

Alabama struggles the most with underdog programs. UGA won't be able to score on Michigan

quote:

I think Cincy can win because they have a better defense, RB and QB than Georgia. does that work for u lol i like Cincy to win the natty michigan will shut down UGA....

i'll be talking about Alabama's lost to a upstart Cincy program in a few weeks.
