Saban’s comments - the end of the Dynasty

I didn’t realize the pure desperation from him until seeing it live. We didn’t watch the Dynasty die on the field yet, as they’re still loaded with a couple of #1 classes, but we did watch it die off the field. He openly admits that there’s nothing the NCAA can do to enforce their own rules without federal litigation. He also says that it’s only going to get worse with people paying players with NIL.
It really does mark the end of an era.

Him being so passionate about it let’s me know he’s got about 8 more years of coaching.
He, like most coaches, tiptoed around this last recruiting class to see how it would shake out. It would have been a bit foolish for he and Alabama to go all out like aTm given Saban and Alabama’s place in the sport right now.
Now that it’s over, what aTm did is being brought to light and it has forced the NCAA to at least put some clearer guidelines down. Once Saban and the other teams have a better understanding of what they can and can’t do, they’ll act accordingly.
Props to aTm for saying frick all this and passing out bags from the jump. They’re desperate and have the means to do it, and probably did the right thing.
Saban(and others) getting this stuff out in the open seems to have been the plan. Now Saban will use it and continue the dynasty.

Saban will win a title this year and 2 more in the next 5.
If that’s a dynasty ending then every single team would take that end

Heniois post. If can't have the best players and the most players he knew he was done.
With the players he has had for the the last ten years he should have won every championship. His reign is coming to an end.
Glad that it was A&M that made him blow his fuse.

You’ve melted more over Saban’s comments than Jimbo.

The Dynasty will end. That much is certain.
But this definitely the end of an era and nothing will ever be the same.
The deepest pockets--Oregon, A&M, Texas, etc will be able to pay the most for their roster. People think Alabama is rich...but they aren't A&M rich.

So glad that it was A&M that caused his meltdown.
"Beat me at what, GOLF".
A&M beat him with a third string quarterback.

This is the year. Bo Nix has improved so much under this new offense. He’s focused. He’s having fun. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s a dark horse for the Heisman.

I think they were a problem for him. That’s why he and that fat bastard that was fired from Arkansas lobbied to have the rules changed. They were worried about the health and safety of defensive linemen. Come on man!

Exactly. That is my point. Alabama football being a king of college football is an endangered species. The Supreme Court ended it.

Meanwhile, you know who has never been a king of college football?

Just wait until the case in California diverts TV money to the players. Then watch the facilities crumble, and coaching salaries shrink.
I do think that most people underestimate the devastating impact all of this is going to have on college football.
