The rules never changed, only clarification of the existing rules. At not point did anyone say it was ok to go out and buy recruits. That your boosters choose to do that, while other people didn't is your fault.
It's happening, so you might as well just accept it.

Texas put enough money together in a deal to pay all of the OL on their team some set amount. You can’t entice a recruit by offering them a deal, but it’s pretty obvious if they go to Texas they will get paid that amount too.
That’s not against the rules, and they landed a pretty good OL class.
Aggies didn’t have any publicly known NIL deals or position group things and they go out and get that class, they yell from the top of the mountain how rich they are and how they did NIL better than anyone.
A&M is a voluntary member of the NCAA, there’s going to be an investigation and A&M, USC and Miami are going to be at the top of the list. NCAA is moving quickly because they are in self preservation mode, and there will probably be some sanctions but it won’t be extreme.
I would guess scholarship reduction and post season ban for a few years, the latter of which won’t really hurt Aggies since they dodge bowl games anyway.

Sure. Because paying players for signing LOIs never happened before NIL.
Now show how young’s above-the-table deal is different than anyone in the ‘22 A&M class. Please be specific.

Can anyone name an NIL deal an A&M recruit or player has received?

This could conceivably be the official end of the NCAA as a governing body if it ends up in federal court (again).
That absolutely will happen. And they will lose. This isn’t your poor ole farmers A&M. This is your rich as Fock A&M that has more lawyers than football players.

I remember saying we’d sue over Will Wade too
I know it’s frustrating and it doesn’t feel fair. You have my sympathies.

That’s from players, not a member

Wasn’t UF just on all all out sprint to raise millions from boosters to pull an aTm?
Talk about sweet timing
How embarrassing

So we are back to top schools getting the top recruits and the others will be left behind? LSU should be punish for getting top players in Missouri! That is like how top recruits decide where to go is not help those that would be good for college football to be more competitive. Than to have just a few top recruits being in the playoff every year!
If a local business wants to sponsor a top talent from the State of Missouri and would want to get the player to attend to a specific school in the State. How will that work if it doesn't get the recruit to go to an area school? The sponsorship will be useless if he goes out of State. That is where it isn't going to work.

The NCAA don’t over ride the courts or the law. There are over a dozen states that passed laws in congress that protects the schools and players from the NCAA. There will be lawsuits coming as soon as the NCAA attempts to punish a school for NIL violations. Hide and watch!!!
