So if the REAL legit MNCs only count from 1998 to present because words,
That’s 24 and Bama owns 6 of them. So… 25% of MNCs belong to Bama.

I’m ok with that.

national champion should not have 2 losses. Especially when one of them was that Keystone Cops game against FSU.

In a 2 or 4 team format I completely agree. Though LSU is the only 2 loss MNC champion since the BCS/playoff era began, so they have that going for them

. Too lazy too look, but maybe the only 2 loss champion ever.

Same thing with Texas - TCU, Longhorns are favored this weekend. Plus TCU will play Baylor the following week and Big 12 championship game against Texas again...for 2 losses.

Texas won’t beat TCU, they play a great game in the 1st half but they suck at second half and adjustments.
Sarkesian is a great coordinator when he has Sabans foot in his arse and our defense to hold up the 2nd half. Texas doesn’t have the horses to hold on and win against good teams.

I would gladly take Sark back into the coaches rehab program.

NCAA recognizes 4 for Texas and 2 for UT

If you want to go to Wikipedia or wherever UT pulls 7 out of their arse then that’s ok I guess, but then Texas has 9

Shitty point by a shitty school, the color orange sucks and you can argue which shade is worse.

That’s what I think of when I think “modern”. I mean, it’s not 11th century moorish or 16th century baroque architecture. More like 1950’s Soviet gulag style. Very modern!

Making shite up to cover for insecurities and lack of success, 8&4 tradition #1 of 11,876,375
2009 was great, finally getting out of the abyss and destroying the Texas program who had been on a nice run was a lot of fun.

Expected to do well going forward, didn’t expect it to be as great as it has been. This run probably won’t ever be topped and being a part of it is something only Bama fans will ever understand.

re: What happened to Aggy recruiting?

A&M has less than 20 scholarships for this year.

quote:

We can only sign around 20 guys in 2023, so it would have to be extremely elite to sign a top 3 class, but it could still happen

I guess Aggies didn’t get the memo, there’s no counters this year. You can take as many as you like up to 85.

You can process all your bread and take 35 if you want
quote:

A&M will win a national championship in all of those 3 sports before LSU and Texas win another one.

Right. So two teams who have won 10 each NCs since you last won your sole title won’t win a single one before you win all three. Got it.

You people are delusional and I would bet all the money on that one.

Adding OU/UTx give the SEC on overwhelming advantage in top money programs with 7 of the top 10. If we cede them to the B1G it looks pretty even in the top 20, but the B1G would be more top heavy with the top 4 of 5.

If the B1G got USC/UCLA/Dome/OU/UTx it’s a safe bet that their contract is worth more and along with the new NIL landscape they could be the more powerful conference.

tOSU and USC recruit Texas well, so adding OU/UTx was as much about locking down Texas recruiting as it was money.

This is correct, divide it into the SEC and SWC.
OU and UTx never officially members of the SEC, the hogs melt would be epic, Aggies on suicide watch. Make it so.

If the SEC expands to 20 teams, I'm fricking done. That's 2 conferences worth of teams

No, 20 is perfect. We can split into SEC originals and SWC with all the newer arrivals. Plus Aggies will melt when they have to exchange their SEC patches for SWC ones.

He’s just a dipshiit who celebrates a recruiting class because that’s all they have. It’s what you do with it that matters, and why they celebrate that over their big win on the field last year.

They ended up 2-6 in the west and forfeited their bowl game while we played in the NC. That they believe their 8-4 average team has risen to the top of the SEC is delusional
Texas sucks for sure, they need to get better players. Arch probably provides the biggest boost they could hope for so probably why they wanted him so bad.

Free agency without a salary cap is pretty bad, though even in professional sports there are contracts, and thus some consequences.

The current system is a disservice to these young adults, money with no real obligation is not how the rest of life will work out.

If this is the path going forward there will have to be some limitations put into place, a salary cap, transfer restrictions or contracts, or a combination these. The current trajectory will destroy the sport and leave an intramural-like D3 type game in its wake.

Longhorns are finding more ways to lose nowadays than agg

Truth, though they did somehow make it to Omaha. Gut feeling has Dome vs Miss/Hog in the finals. Stanford keeps trying to lose before they win, Arkansas and Miss are hot at the right time. Barn can get fricked.

Texas lacks pitching but has Melendez,Aggies lack pitching but have grit. OU is peaking but Domer just feels like the one who will win that bracket.

That’s the old tradition. The new tradition is they will claim their pitcher has the covids, they don’t have any other pitchers and they forfeit.

Over the course of 75 years, 113 teams have made at least one appearance. Obviously, Texas leads with 38 appearances, Miami 25, FSU 23, AZ State 22, USCw 21, OK St. 20, LSU 18, Stanford 18, Fullerton 18, AZ 18, Clemson 12, State 12, FL 12, Arky 11, NC 11, OK 11, USCe 11, Northern Colorado 10 all have at least 10. re: Re-Ranking Omaha Teams

Posted by Merritt on 6/13/22 at 8:36 pm
I don't want to rank them but I think the winner will be one of these four.

Ole Miss
Arkansas
Oklahoma
Texas

An all SEC final four, not too bad.

Texas has been to Omaha 37 times which is exactly half, yet only won 6 times. Their show rate is damn good yet they still underachieve. They are one of the best teams all time for sure, buts SoCal has 12 titles and LSU Has 6 in 18 appearances.

Ole Miss seems to be peaking at exactly the right time. I don’t think OU can beat Aggies, so probably Dome vs Ole Miss in the finals.
Tides shift, but the top 5 programs all time outside the early Ivy are Bama, Dome, OSU OU and USC.

After that is the rest of the pack, Michigan, Tennder, UGA, LSU, Nebraska, Texas, Miami, FSU, etc, a few of which are considered blue bloods but outside Michigan and Texas I’m not sure who they are.

re: Next 4 in EXPANSION

Sure seems like we are headed in that direction. NFL model with 2 divisions, mostly north/west and sound/east. B10 rmerge with PAC and domer, we raid ACC.

I could see Clemson and any 3 of UNC/FSU/UVA/VT. Not sure what would happen to Miami in that scenario, but who cares.
