Can't go wrong with either group but I wouldn't trade Bama's for anyone's

How did Shaun Alexander not win the Heisman?

They definitely skewed new age for us. Garrison Hearst would/should've gotten a mention I'd think.
But having the greatest CFB of all time would tip the scales for us I'd say.

Nationally and traditionally, it's clear: U-G-A.
The BullDAWG Express Soooooooooooul Train would smack down the Bubba Boys of Bama.
No contest.

I'm pretty sure USC has everyone beat nationally.
Mike Garrett
O.J. Simpson
Charles White
Marcus Allen
Reggie Bush
All of those guys won the Heisman while playing at Southern Cal.

Sprained his ankle against Tennessee, missed too many games and finished 7th.
Still led the country in TDs from scrimmage.
Wasn't going to win with Ron Dayne getting the career rushing record that year regardless.

Based on college or pro?

Arkansas: Darren McFadden, Felix Jones, Peyton Hillis, Alex Collins (underrated)
Non SEC:
USC had OJ, Marcus Allen, Reggie Bush
Ok State had Barry Sanders and Thurman Thomas in the same RB room for 2 years.
tu has Ricky Williams, Earl Campbell, Jamaal Charles, Cedrick Benson

product of the big10. I remember as a youngster when we played them after the '97 season being legitimately worried about how we would ever contain this dude that had taken on an almost invincible persona. Dayne had 14 carries for 36 yards. Robert Edwards meanwhile had 22 carries for 110 and Olandis Gary had 60+ himself as well

The Big Ten was playing solid football in the 1990s. Those Wisconsin teams under Barry Alvarez in 1998 and 1999 were no joke.
