Teams tend to get number 1 seeds for a reason. Oh sure, every year you tend to get one number 1 seed that was way over ranked... we, of course, never get that team.
I'm hoping to keep it close going into the final minutes and getting some key fouls to win the game at the free throw line. We are going to have to turn this into a bowling shoes ugly game to win I fear.

If Muss coached that game then it would have been a win.

0-10 v. #1 seeds. Need to make sure announcers are aware of this and mention it every 2 minutes. They should also reiterate constantly about how good Gonzaga's offense is and how good they shoot.

Surprising stat. I know we beat a couple of #2 seeds in 94

The media will slobber over this stat that the mighty Gonzaga cannot lose because Arkansas can't beat a one seed.

So you don't believe if Muss wasn't coaching that team then they wouldn't beat North Carolina?

We did beat LSU earlier that season, though. I think it was in the Great Alaskan Shootout.

We had UNC beat before we got fricked by the refs

Arkansas had problems with the refs against both Vermont and NMST but they still won. Arkansas didn't score a point in the last 2-3 minutes against NC. Mediocre Mike collapsed and let the game slip away.
Good teams find ways to win no matter the situation and this team and last year find ways to win those games unlike the Mike Anderson teams.

The 2017 North Carolina was an epic frick-job from what I recall.

It was a combination of some very bad calls and poor coaching that gave NC the win. But coaches in each game have to fight against both refs and the opponent. Two years later he was fired as he wasn't good enough to overcome neither. This is why coaches work the refs and hold them accountable. Mike never did but Muss always yelled at them and tried to get them to call a fair game. This is important later in a game as the refs either respect or not respect said coach. But in the end you can't always blame the refs for every loss that happens. Other factors come in play that determine why teams lose.

Yeah from what I remember that was the one where the UNC guard took like 5 steps into the lane and ran over our post man (charge), then threw up a shot and it went in and they called a foul on our guy.
Missed a travel and a charge on the same play, then stuck us with the foul.
Moses Kingsley was a beast in that game
