(And I realize most of this board doesn't even live here)

But for those that do, have you ever seen anything like this???

The party has not stopped. It sincerely looks like a Saturday gameday in the fall right now with all the Georgia car flags and everbody wearing their red and black everywhere.

Can't go anywhere without being stopped to hear everybody's story, strangers or otherwise, about how they felt when the pick 6 happened. And plenty of them are almost in tears when they tell it

I'm not exaggerating and I don't even know how to really describe accurately the vibe that is out there and the pandemic of happiness that has broken out. I hope Sanford gets packed to full capacity on Saturday. WOuldnt that be something??

Almost crashed my car yesterday because the dude in front of me randomly unfurled a massive UGA flag out the back window as we were riding down the interstate

We knew there would be a bandwagon factor like nobody's business once we finally won the big one, and I can't speak for anyone else, but I'm totally fine with it.

Lots more folks inclined to yell out "Go Dawgs" when the see someone else sporting the G, and that's just the way the Good Lord intended.

After decades of humbling losses when we needed them, our fanbase has its swagger back.

Do we have a location check on the truck with the giant LED board? I last saw them driving around ATL with the 2017 SECCG win over Auburn on loop.

I hope I don't end up driving behind him, because my dumbass will rear end a motherfricker from watching the highlights

I'm all for the bandwagon. Get on board. More people that are transplants will start getting into the Dawgs. I have been in Atlanta since 95 and there are so many more non-student UGA fans here now. With the Falcons continuing to stink UGA is the de facto football team. I haven't had any time to celebrate. Monday is the worst night for a championship game.

I found this guy, but I don't think this was the one I recall. Maybe it was.

Applications to UGA are about to be BOOMING

Football is the front porch for any university, and there is always a massive "BCS/CFP Bump" for schools that win it all.

UGA's selectivity, at least for Franklin, is already stratospheric. It will be interesting to see how much of a bump this gives the admissions metrics.

I love that!

I'm on day three of wearing UGA gear to my job. Pisses the Principal off but IDGAF. Bunch of other UGA folks doing the same. We basically recall the game and all the newest/coolest videos, memes, gifs, interviews, etc in the hallway during class change. Somehow during all that I'm still managing to teach my kids about Ancient Egypt.

Agree on that point for sure. Would loved it to have been a Friday or Saturday night game. We did a pretty quick up and back but real life has been seriously interfering this week.

Given how high UGA admissions requirements have soared since the HOPE scholarship started, I don't know how relevant the success of the football program is for general admissions.

Last year's UGA freshman class averaged: higher than a 4.0 GPA, 1410 SAT, 32 ACT, and 10 AP classes. That's insanely higher than back in the 80s and 90s. 15,400 admissions out of 39,400 applications (39% acceptance).

So kids (who aren't football players) who only want to go to UGA because of a good football program may not be the type who are going to get in these days.

We're vacationing in the Florida Keys. We went to Key West yesterday for lunch and wandering around and wore our Georgia gear. Heard lots of "Go Dawgs" and a couple of "Woof Woofs" and ran into a couple of Georgia grads.

The world knows!

To me it’s been the quiet, knowing looks when passing other people in Georgia gear in public.

Like, you can see in someone’s eyes whether they’re a johnny-come-lately bandwagonner or one of us that has suffered the heartbreaks of the last few decades.

When you pass one of those and you see each other and just nod or give an understated “Go Dawgs” and all you can think to yourself is “we fricking did it”, it’s a satisfying feeling.

Here in Athens it’s like a preview of the rapture. Hilarious experience at Popeyes with some Dawgs of Color.

Any of y'all heading down on Saturday for the official celebration? I figure it's gonna be a madhouse, and a bit of a day trip from Charlotte, but probably more than worth it.
