The Crimson Tide defeated Georgia 41-24 to win the SEC Championship on Dec. 4, but Spurrier has been bullish on the Bulldogs’ title chances throughout the season, and the first result didn’t dissuade his thinking.
"They’re due for the football gods to maybe smile on them this time," Spurrier said.
“I believe Georgia is going to do something different with their defense. After they played the first time, they’re going to say, ‘We can’t sit in these zones, and we’ve got to get pressure on the quarterback somehow,’” said Spurrier, who coached in same-season rematch games five times as the coach at Florida or South Carolina, winning the second installment twice.

Spurrier is a fricking tool. Old fart needs to go back to bed.

Feel the same way… smart will be more aggressive and attack that mediocre OL.

No way! BoB will expect Smart to shift to a more aggressive defensive gameplan and will tailor the offense to counter it with screens, draws, and-
frick, I can't do it with a straight face. We don't know any of those kinds of plays, and apparently we don't want to know them. If Georgia plays more aggressive defense we're screwed.

“In 12 years at Florida, I don’t think we ever signed a kid from the state of Alabama. Of course, we found out later that the scholarships they were giving out at Alabama were worth a whole lot more than ours.” Ole Ball Coach

I remember a rematch Spurrier didn’t win.

What if Saban knows he'll adjust and pre adjusts to the adjustments? What if Kirby realizes this and adjust his adjustments anticipating Saban adjusting to adjustments and adjusts by not adjusting? What if Saban realizes that Kirby realizes that Saban realizes that Kirby realizes that Saban will realize Kirby will adjust his adjustments to Saban's adjustments and Saban thusly also adjusts his adjustments in not adjusting?

He’s a quitter, he should be discussing 8&M

Losing twice to Mike Dubose would cause most coaches to suicide. LoL. I like Spurrier but way over rated IMO. Basically Kiffin without Twitter.

Sounds like he's adding some rat poison to me. He hates UGA..

The game plan he came out with in ‘95 (‘96 Sugar Bowl) against Nebraska was one of the worst I have ever seen. Left Wuerffel unprotected against the Husker blitzes all night to the point Danny damn near got killed. And refused to adjust. They were going to lose, anyway. But I remember watching his play calling in disbelief.

Damn, he must REALLY hate Saban nowadays.

And the sad thing is he STILL hadn't adjusted all of the 96 regular season until Danny got killed again against FSU. Then he FINALLY started putting him in the shotgun.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Kirby had sandbagged the SEC championship game for the ultimate hustle.
I also wouldn’t be surprised if Bama waxes that arse again.

Some of these Bama fans sound genuinely offended.
