Typical battered Aggie deflection...
His dad is a massive Oklahoma fan and posts on their site constantly. Texas gives literally zero fricks about this guy, nobody was offering him big money, nobody. His film sucks, he's too big to be a LB, and too small to be a DL.
They need a win after the Venables/Devon Campbell in home visit...the one where Campbell wasn't even home

You think they just imagined these quotes?
“When (Venables) came to Lubbock, Texas had came the day before and their whole selling point to me was money,” McKinzie said. “Like that’s all they talked about in the meeting and that just didn’t sit right with me. I understand the opportunities money-wise there were amazing, but how do we change this football program?
“I’m going there to play football. That’s short money what NIL is, and I want to make long money to get what my main goal is and that’s the NFL. So Coach V came in and said I want you, I don’t need you. And that’s big picture for me. You want me but don’t need me? Okay I want to prove to you that I belong on this defense, that I can help this defense elevate.”

Lol, we are just laughing at you. It's also pathetic considering he was someone Texas worked hard to get to flip to Texas and then he flipped back and now you are acting like you never wanted him. Is that the "We only want guys that want to wear a uterus on their helmet" logic?
Look, I have no issue with Texas utilizing NIL to their advantage. They should. It's legal and Texas has money and Austin has plenty of folks that want to support the program. The greater point for any school though is you need to offer more than just NIL deals.

The "we are the Jones's" angle is the last sad, illusory crutch propping up the battered, teetering Longhorn psyche.
When they realize they don't have much more money to give compared to other top programs and that they are an inept clown car with multiple losses to Kansas, multiple losing seasons, and one of the most annoying fanbases in the history of college football; they might finally hit rock bottom.

If I was a texas fan I wouldn't hate this. It sounds like they are willing to be the top spender in college ball. Kids talk a lot of shite, but the majority of the best ones will follow the money. And I don't blame them.

Multiple Texas recruits have already chimed in and said BS. But OU signees that texas recruited have a long history of this type of trolling going back to Mack Brown hugging too much and prior…

I agree to some extent, but having a complete team of guys into the glamour is the exact cultural issue that got Texas into their current predicament. Yes you need highly talented guys, but you also need a locker room predominantly made up of guys with focus that love the game. Love it so much that even practicing gets them pumped up. Ideally those guys are the same guys but you can’t have a team full of high level athletes with questionable football character.

Not a surprise. It is their entire pitch to numerous players this year. Not much else to pitch right now so why not?

Kobie McKinzie Chose Football Over Money in Signing With Oklahoma.
"Their [Texas] whole selling point to me was money. Like that's all they talked about in the meeting and that just didn't sit right with me."
Looks like it sat right with Quinn Ewers though
This sounds a little sour grapes to me but I hope the kids telling the truth and he actually cares about his education

Arkansas ran it down your throats and you lost to both Mississippi schools. Just lost your badass DC and your offense is stuck in 1996.
Yet y’all signed #1 class including 5*s from Florida, Georgia and Tennessee. Ohio State and Clemson can’t keep with y’all’s class
Lol are you that tone deaf or truly that deep into the koolaid?
