It will be raging again if Smart loses in the playoffs with Bennett.
If Smart wins the next two games with Bennett, all will be happy (we can brag about having such an impressive team that we could win big with a very average quarterback). It will be much like how Belue managed a team that did it off Herschel's greatness and a stingy defense.
If Smart loses with Bennett, the hype about him being the hottest coach in college football will be officially dead.

Makes as much sense as the original post. The sample size is too limited to be of any real predictive value, especially against top-ranked competition that he's never faced. To get a better idea of his real usefulness, you'd have to factor in his USC record, which wasn't exactly what you'd call overwhelming and wasn't compiled against the elite of college football.

BTW JT threw for 400+ yards against a secondary last year that will more than likely put
all four starters in the NFL (both safeties are already on NFL rosters and Ahmad Green will be a first rd pick in '22) Not bad for a G5 team.
