Why does Chuck still have a job here?

Why does he want to keep his job here on the radio?
He doesn't live in the state.
He always has more energy and enthusiasm in his calls when the opponents score. The sport doesn't matter this is a constant.
He no longer calls the one sport some actually thought he as good at in baseball since that would require him to spend days and not hours in the state.
Pittman has to do his tv show late after the game since chuck can't be the there the following day. Talk about dollar general stuff.
It's been a while since I've been reminded just how awful he is at his job thanks to the tv blackout tonight.

Likely because nobody listens to him anymore since every game is on TV.
Heck I didn’t even listen tonight. Just had the game tracker going. I can’t remember the last time I actually listened to a radio broadcast.
Even when I’m in the car I normally have the tv broadcast on.

He sucks at basketball and football. He is around because no one listens to radio anymore and when forced to hear it, he is just bad. He isn't very professional and got excited when Hofstra scored.

Baseball where it his speed but in the other two, he sounds out of place and struggles with pace of the game.

Anyone following Paul Eels will fall short in my mind. I never was a big Chuck fan, but he's not the worst I've heard after listening to some of the other school's guys.
I think Chuck took a big hit when he defended Nutt during that fiasco and some will never forgive him.

I did not know he didn't even live in the state. How is that even remotely allowed by the university? And if the school is funding flights to HOME games that's intolerable.
Barrett has always sounded amateurish at best. He's also always putting on a fake voice and his "big" calls are just embarrassing high pitched excitement.
Phil Elson isn't much better, us he seems like he is monumental prick in real life, so I don't want him doing any more than he has to.
I know we're all still comparing these guys to Paul, and I know it's not fair, but damn, it just seems like there are better people out there for these jobs. But then I listen to all the young broadcasters today, and basically eveyone sucks, so there's that.

Chuck is a baseball guy and that's it.
His statement that firing Nutt would set the program back 10 years was just one Coach off.

He defended Nutt on his radio show and that got him in good standing for the job when Paul passed away. Broyles has made the Arkansas media hands off criticism of any coach until they are fired. If Chuck had done the opposite and was critical of Nutt then it would have jeopardized his job in baseball and hurt his chances in football. It is why Chuck made those terrorist comments to hog fans as his superiors wouldn't hold him accountable. He should have been demanded to give an apology on the radio as it is wrong to call people terrorists for having a different opinion.
One of the reasons why some hog fans don't like him is because he is a jerk compared to Paul and was very opinionated on his radio talk show where every opinion besides his own was wrong.

I agree. I'm in that camp. He was a company man and obviously followed orders from the Broyles complex and even belittled fans that called into his show questioning dale nutt.
He lost me on all of that shite years ago. Bo Mattingly sucks also. Well, to be fair, all of NWA sports shows are terrible.
The only good sports talk is in Central AR on The Buzz. I like The Zone show from 10-1 and Out of Bounds from 1-4.

The Zone is the best. Out of Bounds is ok. Joe Franklin always seemed so bland to me

Agreed. Truthfully, I think Acri is about the best out there. I think it's a good blend of sports and other stuff that's out there. He's funny as hell, and quick witted.

He remarried and move to Tallahassee FL years ago, it was the time the football coaches show was obviously being filmed the same day following the game than on set the following day.
I'm not comparing him to Paul or even care about his radio show I never listened to. They forced mike nail to retire because he was falling behind the pace of the game to replace with Chuck who is even slower and thinks he has to be neutral which means excitement over big plays from the opponents. Meanwhile all the other sec teams have homers if not just fans of the program they are covering. It's ok for these broadcasts to be insides and homerish instead of chucks oh well I have a plane to catch attitude during the broadcasts.

Question remains. Is the University of Arkansas footing the bill for Chuck to fly to HOME games and media appearances in Fayetteville, such as the coach's radio show on Wednesdays?
And is the school so cucked that they can't make their own damn announcer and voice of the program live even in the same area code of campus?

He sucks. Elson is decent but an outspoken liberal cuck trump hater which makes him awful as well.
I agree with several of yall. Chuck has the job because its not a big or important job anymore and he probably does it for a few grand per game plus decent insurance.
