Kessler looks hurt to me... he hasn't been the same since the Florida game.

And how many of the last few games have they been down from the start and had to battle back? They seem soft with no fire or drive to win. I say that in the most positive way possible.

WDE!!!

Yeah I agree but I’ll give him a pass on this one because the Powell thing was so fluky and out of nowhere

We will definitely have more aggregate talent on future Bruce teams. Not necessarily top pick in the draft type guys but more high end talent across the roster. We are just now crawling out of the NCAA investigation and self imposed recruiting restrictions we have been dealing with for years and I think you will see the effect of that

I think it’s fine to say this was a failure compared to where we were in February. This team hit a lull and actually got worse. This last month or so hasn’t been Bruce’s best coaching job. We hadn’t gotten run out of the gym until the SEC tourney and had it happen twice in the last 3 games.

I am hoping we just about clean house at the 3 position and find a 3 and D player. We don’t need a super star there. We just need someone who can hit the regularly open three.

Portal changes the game now. Last year we had the issue of not having any ball handlers. Bruce addressed that need. I’m confident Bruce knows what the deficiencies were and what he has coming back.

He hasn’t looked the same since he tumbled on that shoulder in Knoxville

Maybe coach flan takes a job somewhere and brings Allen with him. Otherwise that might get complicated. I could see Allen wanting a fresh start somewhere regardless though he has been feeling the heat

That’s exactly it. We had a group of guys that were mental with their shot and they only complemented each other on breaks or early season lobs. Cambridge probably needs to go. It wouldn’t surprise me if his 3 point struggles wore off on the rest of our team Greene, Jaylin, and Flanny are hopefully frontrunning the second team wave next year. Kessler is no Timme. Has zero offensive moves. Zero game other than rebounding and dunking.

Cardwell is an energy infusion that gets some blocks but he hacks and isn’t great at rebounding and shouldn’t ever start for Auburn.

In some of the interviews I’d heard with Bruce in the past few weeks he basically says the scouting report is out on us and it’s going to be tough sledding. Teams learned that all they had to do was pack the paint and crowd or double Jabari when he got the ball. That’s what made the Final Four team so hard to beat. There is no scouting report for a team full of shooters who can all outrun you. Your scouting report is hope they miss.

One thing that gives me hope is that Bruce can show any good three point shooter hours of film of Cambridge bricking completely uncontested shots from the corner and tell him all he needs to do is knock them down.

Yeah and that team had 2 elite shooters, 2 good shooters, and 2 that could make them when they were open. And some of the time 5 of those 6 were on the court at the same time.

This team had one elite shooter, one streaky shooter, and one decent shooter

This team quit tonight. Pitiful

Cut that crap out. They hustled. They were flying around diving for balls.

Seems like when you lose a a disappointing game that’s the frustrating comments from some.

There guards were very good and better than ours. They don’t turn it over(3 and 4 TOs last two games).
Our 2 bigs couldn’t hit anything and our inside game never showed up.

Great year. Bad end.

But it was not for lack of trying.

This is where we lost it.
UM had 30 fastbreak points
We had 1 point.

28-6 15-3. Great season. Disappointing finish in the post season. Guys played with heart all season but tonight’s game was a funk for sure.

Yep lack of a shooter and any position other than the 4 was killer. It was brutal for this team that Flan was as bad as he was this year. What may have been if not for a scooter wreck.

He knew the scouting report was out and was hoping for the role players to pick up the slack. Hell, while we were ranked number one I said a couple times the scouting report will be out and our studs will get neutralized and hoped a Jaylin or Flanny would be the X factors. Well I believe Jaylin and Flanny did their part tonight. The studs going 5-30 or whatever isn’t what I meant by neutralized. There were a shite ton of easy putbacks that should’ve been made. Tonight was an atrocity.

I hate to be the one that says it, but this team won’t win anything with Devan Cambridge and Allen Flanigan playing like they did.

Full quote isn’t so bad. I hate when shite is halfway quoted.

Seems to be what most on the internet are thinking too. I like Allen. Without him, last year is even more abysmal. He just wasn’t the same player. I think a clean break for both parties could be beneficial.

The reality is essentially everyone from last year’s team has a ceiling of being a bench/role player. CMo has the skill for a big man and the size of a guard. Devan gives effort, but that’s all he has. Stretch will never play a significant minute. Jaylin and Dylan are two guys that can give quality minutes and embrace that role.

I really like Westry and Donaldson but don’t think either will be the spark or piece this team needs, although I love what Westry can become.

I’d love to snag someone like Tevin Brown.
