Injuries occur in the NFL. Your record is what it is. FSU plays in a Power 5 conference and ran through the table. Imagine if Tua gets hurt in the season finale. The NFL isn’t gonna say, “your backup QB sucks”, therefore, no playoffs for Miami.

Considering a division champion has never been left out before then so is Alabama in this theoretical NFL setup.

FSU played the 55th ranked schedule in the country, and their best win was vs. an LSU team with a historically bad defense.

Schedule better teams. Not my problem.

If this was the NFL, FSU would have had to play 2 of the top 4 teams in the regular season.

Use your brain.

12 of the NFL’s 32 teams make the playoffs.

4 of D1 college football’s 133 teams make the playoffs.

Think about that.

Nah, the Falcons are gonna win the NFC South and play nobody good.

But then they're gonna get in the 14 team playoffs and get eviscerated.

So, similar.

And NFL teams have to play the best teams multiple times a year.

The eagles play the cowboys and 49ers multiple times.

The Chiefs play the dolphins and the eagles and bills.

The dolphins play the eagles, chiefs, and bills.

FSU played the Panthers all season and want in.

Yep, and FSU would have made it in the 12 team playoff anyways.

People need to understand that they weren’t top 4 and leave it be.

FSU would've made a 12-team playoff, but their conference leaders chose to be part of the alliance that delayed the 12 team CPF expansion this year.

FSU ran through a pretty soft P5 conference BY CHOICE. They declined an invitation to join the SEC 20 yrs ago.

The talent gap in the NFL is also not equal to the gap in college football.

Is this the same NFL you can have a losing record and still make the playoffs?

The NFL doesn’t have 132 teams competing for 4 spots. Too bad the ACC didn’t want expansion

And if this was the NFL, an UNDEFEATED team would be invited to the PLAYOFFS.

Talk about not understanding the fundamental differences between the two.

If this were the NFL, FSU would have played every team they would be up against for a playoff spot.

Considering that they didn't play a 64 game schedule, I think we can safely rule out any comparisons of the two.

You do realize teams with worse records routinely get in professional sports’ playoffs over teams with better records.

Using the NFL analogy is lazy and intellectually dishonest.
