This guy has no business teaching at Auburn. You want to have a liberal crazy arse class...fine. But hire someone with SOME decency.

Email the university president. His outright hateful and profanity laced rants reflect not only leftist views but classless hate that should disqualify him for teaching. We have an Auburn creed and this guy is the total opposite. It’s time the silent majority get some balls and fights the leftist culture permeating into our universities. This guy is an idiot and I am vehemently opposed to his hire.

Auburn didn't vet this guy very well did they?
He's as radical as so many of the extremists. Auburn is still considered a fairly conservative campus.

Response I received from the English Department chair.
The Dean has passed on your message to me, as I am just beginning my tenure as Chair of the English department. First, thank you for expressing your concerns over this recent post by one of our incoming faculty. As a long-time AU faculty member and donor to the university, I want to let you know that we take your input seriously. I am aware of the troubling issues such posts raise, and I will work as necessary to address them. But please recognize that these views, expressed by one faculty member, do not reflect the views of the English department, nor do they represent the views of Auburn University at large. I and my colleagues in the English department have worked tremendously hard to build a reputation for outstanding scholarship, for effective teaching, and for reaching out to the community in collaborative and fruitful ways. Obviously, negative publicity can severely undermine the efforts of many faculty members who do not share these views, and certainly do not express them in such a vulgar manner. Since this is a personnel matter, I am not allowed to comment on it further, but please know that the matter is being treated seriously.

I called the President's office and talked to the secretary. I told her that as an Auburn ALumni this was NOT acceptable.
I also said while I support diversity, this is not what I want Auburn to represent. I told her he needs to be removed.
My understanding is now people that are calling are getting voice mail....
