He’s got a great attitude. I’ll be sad when he decides to transfer.

Derrick Brown.

But there are so many to name...

Tutt, Davis, and Dinson are open field tackling machines.

KJ Britt and Zakoby are punishing people.

McCreary and Iggy are the best 2 corners we've had since Carlos Rogers was around.

Not ready to put McCreary over Walter McFadden, Pat Lee, Jarraud Powers, Carlton Davis and Jamel Dean just yet. I might put Iggy over several. Time will tell

We just tackle so well. That’s the No 1 reason why I think we have a shot. We are such good tacklers that they will kill a lot of drives

Some good names....but with just the sample size we have of R-MC, assuming he plays the way he has thus far, This kid is a beast. What a steal of a recruit. Bought low and sold high. He has been lights out for the most part. Iggy too. Still hard to believe he only in 2nd real year of playing CB.

Brown - jus because,

and Gus.

Because it seems he's finally interested in change. Every successful coach changes to meet new challenges, acts on their short comings, and hopefully strives to better utilize what they have available to them. Maybe he's done so in the past, maybe not, however this year he's gone more public with these actions and it shows in increased variety, early success, intensity, and passion.

eta: Still not on the bus but might stop to offer a lug wrench and not just call 911.

This. He's seems like a different guy this year. He is super dialed in. His game plan was brilliant against A&M. He has his finger on the pulse of the team and his disposition with the media is different too. He's exemplifying his faith and overcoming his fear and paranoia. I'm proud of him.

Brilliant? Uhhh...no. Better? Definitely.

Still saw too many old, stale Gus play calls. Why after every big play first down, does he call a run b/t the tackles? Why not another pass?

And still no passes over the middle except for the TD slant. I would think when you run plays wide and get those inside defenders to shift more to outside D, then that is the best time to throw that slant over the middle.

So, again...Gus is better, but he needs to be top level in those bigger SEC games coming up...FL, LSU...etc..

Hell, just run routes over the middle. I don't care if it is the absolute last option on the play. Have somebody take up space in the middle of the field.

yep. what ever happened to those drag routes they were running w/ Hastings?
I remember Stidham finding him in soft zones and on drag routes, ala the Edelman type WR, which Hastings runs like.

No clue. It would do wonders just to have a HB or TE run a 10 yard sit down route with our normal play. Hold a linebacker or safety somewhat tight int he middle of the field and so much more will open up. It gets vacated almost every play.

Tutt hands down.

Been killing it in the return game and good coverage on nickel

The answer is KJ Britt for me.

The linebackers have been a pretty stable group for the last few year (Thank you T-Will) but I don't think we've seen a LBer like this one. KJ is just as instinctive as Deshaun Davis was, and twice the athlete of Davis.

I think he's got it all. Really excited about his future.
