Believe things with Durkin are trending more to him leaving than staying. Tough. I don’t like this not working out. Feels like we’ll be starting behind the 8 ball.
IF Golesh wants Durkin, Cohen should make that happen. Golesh offense + Durkin's defense would be something to behold. All the players love Durkin, which bolds well for recruiting.

Since USF's DC wasn't included in the list of coaches being brought over so far, my assumption is that he does and that the ball is in Durkin's court.

Agree. If Durkin quits that is on Durkin. This program is too used to losing and needs an enema! There are better DCs to be had!

Memphis would be a good fit for Durkin as the next HC. One of the recurrent knocks on his HC candidacy at AU was that he needed to have demonstrated he could win as a HC elsewhere first (after the Maryland problems and multiple stops as a DC afterwards). If he leaves AU, then I hope he goes to Memphis as their HC rather than to another SEC school as the DC. Another lateral move is not in his best interest or that of AU.

Absolutely Huge. Young man is an absolute star in the making.

Now I would be good if Coach G comes as a DL analyst to help him and brain beat some of these over paid divas on the team.

Brad White is not that bad. He had at least 4 of his defenses ranked in the top 25 at Kentucky. He and Sumrall worked together at Kentucky. The last couple of years Kentucky's talent has dropped off bad because of Stoop's last two years.

My guess so far based on public 247 info:

Golesh
OC/QB Gordon
DC/LB Durkin
WR Burns
OL Hudanick
RB ?? (Marcus Davis?)
TE ??
DL VKW
EDGE ??
CB Van Dyke
S ?? (Rushing?)
ST ?? <-- USF's ST were pretty good so I bet he brings this guy over

I would think Chad Creamer comes as OLB/Edge and possibly special teams coordinator unless he is named the DC if Orlando gets the job at USF as permanent head coach

Wonder if Marcus could wind up coaching TEs.

USF's TE coach appears to be a junior member of the staff with a background as a WR analyst. And I wonder how directly involved Golesh is with TEs.

His defense got skull drug numerous times. I’m just telling you that the Florida fans are pissed with the Sumrall hire, and this didn’t help. Before Sumrall was hired, I was talking with some of them about Florida was trying to get him from Auburn. Every one of them was like, no! If we don’t get Kiffin, then we’re getting Riley or Dillingham! We’re not even considering Sumrall.

Brad White isn’t bad-for Kentucky. UF isn’t Kentucky and we’d be melting if Golesh was replacing Durkin with White.

Everything I have seen has Craddock going as OC…can’t wait til that announcement, UF will implode.

Wonder if we go after Frank Wilson (LSU) for the RB coach. Seems like Kiffin is showing him the door. Solid RB coach and supposedly a very good recruiter.

The biggest reason I didn’t want Sumrall. Chad Morris tree. No thanks.

I would imagine, Van Dyke was agreed upon between Golesh and Durkin, but Durkin has the authority to hire his Defensive staff how he sees fit. Golesh probably told him to go get the best

If Durkin were able to bring T-Rob home as Co-DC/S coach, I would consider it a SPLASH HIRE. It almost transpired at Maryland when Durkin was there as HC. Auburn>Maryland.

Come home T-Rob

So a poster on the Corner named "antisocialites" made a post regarding what they've heard regarding the coaching staff so take this with a grain of salt but anyway they claim the following:

• Rushing expected to return. Says Rushing is expected to talk with Stanford (his alma mater) about a position there but still believes he returns to Auburn regardless

• Durkin will be DC only and won't coach ILBs anymore. Todd Orlando from USF is expected to join as Co-DC/ILB and will be announced tomorrow

• Chad Creamer the Edge/OLB and STC at USF is expected to join in same roles here. Orlando and Creamer may wait till after USF bowl game to join

• Marcus Davis is being given option to return but says it's 60/40 Leave/Stay if he stays his role is unknown

• RB and TE coaches should be announced tomorrow. They don't know who would coach TEs haven't heard any names but they've heard either USF RB coach or Mississippi State RB coach and a couple of others but didn't mention who the others were ( MSU RB coach and Golesh coached together at UCF in 2020 as co-ocs)

• RB/OL/TE will be focus of portal.

•USF QB Byrum Brown would be only QB to join unless Deuce and Ashton leave. Believes Golesh is making keeping Deuce a priority as well as Cam and Simmons.

• Staff wants to keep Singleton, Perry and Fields but believe it's more likely they leave than stay. Expects a lot of USF receivers to transfer in

• Expects some USF D players to transfer in but the focus is on retaining the core D players that are eligible to return. Atkins is a lock to return with DJD coming back

Edit: They made a comment in the thread responding to someone saying Singleton and Koger would look good in O&B claiming those are 2 names they heard could transfer in along with Nimrod.

They also wrote their info is third hand and stuff is fluid so they could be wrong on some things
