Correct, but you do need to start asking yourself:

Why is the name Neal Brown mentioned in this and past searches?

Why is the name Charles Kelly mentioned?

Have they or have they just been message board rumors?

Furthermore, if Auburn hires a HC and an OC both with strong/identical Troy connections, there is no way that a rational person could say that Auburn is giving the best effort (for the fans).

Say it a little louder for those in the back.

Because I don't like Sumrall as much as you do? I won't just be excited we hired soneone?

I agree not crazy about any of OC candidates floated on the forums. Just holding out hope those wouldn’t be the choices.

He’s a good coach.

I was listening to an interview with him earlier. He mentioned having to be strategic in who they identified and revealed as their recruiting targets. Essentially, the bigger schools in the state of Texas pay attention to what he’s doing. If they tip their hand too early, they risk having their recruits poached. I take it as a huge sign of respect that the big boys are paying attention to the little guy because he has such an eye for talent.

None would ever be as qualified as a guy who is 12-11 the last 2 years at UTSA, but if we are throwing shite at the wall....Corey Mace, Todd Cooley, or Shawn Lutz.

I promise you Sark and Elko haven't lost a wink of sleep worried that UTSA will poach someone they actually want. Hell Rhett hasn't either.

Read that wrong, but if a kid is good he will get found. He isn't beating those guys for anyone

You are making some grand assumptions. Admin might get him an OC like they seemingly got Gus a DC.

It all seems like we are hell bent on a Gus like offense, more of the damn same if he's the OC. We need to make a clean break

At this point if the coach can make it successful and we win football games with it, we could run the Wing-T and iwgaf.

Gorgeous AL & him were together for many years at SD State. Longer than Brown & him. So do you do research or just try to pick one coordinator he worked with?

I guess it's just me, but when I see names like Charles Kelly, Durkin, Dell McGee and Les Miles dropped as candidates, Sumrall starts to look like the 2nd coming of Saban in comparison.

Maybe that’s the strategy of the AD

I’ve only seen PDF actively mention Neal Brown repeatedly. The only credible people that have mentioned Charles Kelly have said the only way he gets serious consideration is if Auburn misses on numerous other candidates.
