I always preferred an offensive HC too. I like the hire. Clean house on O side staff for sure.

USF was 1-8, 2-10, 1-11 the years prior to his arrival.

Glad this is over.
Welcome to Auburn, Coach Golesh.

I have learned one thing from this coaching search, and that’s that nobody knows a damn thing about anything.

I'm going to quote myself

I really wish people would dig into the records instead of just posting the number of wins and losses. A lot of these schools have losses baked into their records because they have to play competition in which they are out matched just to pay the bills..
2023 7-6 lost to # 10 Alabama, and won 7 games despite going 1 -11 the previous year
2024 7-6 again but this time with losses to #4 Bama #8 Miami, Tulane and Sumrall
2025 8-3 started hot with wins against Boise and UF before losing to #5 Miami
In reality their record is good for approximately 2 built in losses a year (games they are pretty much guaranteed to lose), but their record this year reflects 2 additional wins because they upset Boise and UF..if money was equal and they didn't have to take losses for paydays, they are probably a 9 or 10 win team on average. There are also some pretty good teams in the league like Memphis, SMU, North Texas, Tulane and UTSA on any given year

Those who know squat about him is he a system guy or is he pretty varied in his offensive approach. I haven't watched much UT to have a feel for what he learned from heupel

See you guys again in 3 years
Everyone was begging for anyone but Durkin. Which i completely understand and was right there too.
Is Golesh the most exciting hire? No. Considering the options that were available, hes one of the best options Auburn had.
Can he turn it around? Who knows. I do think he is a solid coach from what ive been able to gather.

Big system guy.
He has go long receivers and check down receivers just like Gus did. Parts create the whole type deal that the NFL scouts hate

Anyone want to take a guess as to who his OC at USF is this season?
Kodi Burns.

Remember the old saying that Auburn fans would pull for the Soviet Union over Bama?
Well, bruh, it’s finally happening.
