It’s time to bring the Brohma bull home

The guy that owns FootballScoop.com lives in Baton Rouge but has a kid attending Auburn. Since his kid has been a student at AU he has been very plugged in to the inner circle with Auburn Athletics.
So if FootballScoop is reporting Sumrall has withdrawn from the AU search you can believe it as accurate

If Sumrall crashed out about being told he had to keep one of the best DCs and recruiters in the game and a WR coach responsible for this elite talent we now have at that position, then let his bitch arse stay in Tulane.
This is dumb. Telling coaches who they can and can’t have on their staff does not make us an attractive job. I would much rather have had Sumrall than 11-16 DJ Durkin, but unfortunately, it looks like we’re just not serious about football anymore.

Its humbling to realize you've been turned down by a coach from Tulane.

Also, the "elite talent" has been highly overrated.
I mean I think that Coleman is truly elite but the argument to not get a coach to keep elite talent when elite talent by definition only stay at your school a max of 3 years usually and could still leave even if you keep their coach is mind blowingly dumb. Like I saw someone on twitter talking about needing to keep Perry fricking Thompson as if he is even a good receiver at this point. It’s just shocking to read

It’s kinda crazy to give a coach of just Troy and Tulane complete ownership to do whatever he wants.
Then don’t even consider hiring him.
If you’re an AD hiring a HC and you think you have to pick his staff for him, he’s not a shite coach, you’re a shite AD. A good AD hires a top shelf HC and then gets the frick out of the way. If you think you’ve got to do your HC’s job for him, you’re shite at your own job.

Not letting a HC choose his staff is worse than the HC calling the offensive plays and not letting the OC
Cohen and Freeze might be cut from the same cloth. Hes gotta go.

For all I know this stuff that is coming out is all message board rumors but if there is truth to it… yeah

This push to keep the coaching staff together is being driven by18 yr olds threatening to enter the portal.. what an absolute shite show we are.

So it looks like Sumrall to Florida and Golesh is AUs target. Per ESPN.
I would support that. Golesh has had top 10 offenses as both a coordinator and a head coach.

Golesh is barely getting 7 wins at USF

We would come out with the better coach, so this wont happen.

I’m not saying that he is good but USF was an absolute fricking disaster when he got there

Golesh, with an average of 7.5 wins a season, would be very underwhelming. A tad better than Durkin. Still pretty sad.

He doesn't have the resources Tulane has. They dont even have a stadium.
