So, is this thread an admission that tRant was right about Gustav, and his high-school gimmick offense that only worked when he managed to pluck some troubled but highly athletic QB out of JUCO?

Sean White is the first freshman QB to ever throw over 250 yards in three consecutive games. Like, ever.
Well, yeah, against Arkansas, Kentucky and Ole Miss. His completion % was also roughly 55 and he threw for 1 touchdown and 1 interception.

He then followed that up by looking terrible against Georgia and Memphis... (Yes, I realize he was hurt)

Aaron Murray was shite his freshman year, UGA had a losing record.
Not because of him.

Dude threw for 24 touchdowns, 8 interceptions, over 3,000 yards and had a completion percentage over 60.

He was light years above Sean White.

Just as air tight as your logic for championing the Gus QB who is a consistent loser and has the lowest scoring average of a Gus QB?

We also lost two of the three games because Gus is a fricking retard of a playcaller in the redzone. i watched our offense vs their defense for all three and in each game, Sean looked really good between the 20s, then Gus tried to run it in. FG Gus has effectively turned young barners into nega barners. If Gus doesnt turn into TD Gus, he needs to be kicked in the nuts or shown the door....or both

We have to come to the realization that CGM's offense is truly effective (and almost only effective) with a true duel threat QB.

I went back and watched a few of Cam and Nick's games. I didn't see any "duel threats" ever. Is it more subtle and I missing it? Like do they whisper "pistols at 20 paces!" to defenders? Has there ever been an actual QB in Gus's offense that has dueled and why do you think the threat of a duel is what helps the offense run more effectively? Head games with the D? Are duels big with the youths these days? I thought they were only in the history books.

That's all I've got, carry on.

Remind me how many games we won with a "good" pocket passer again?

remind me how many of those losses White had a serviceable RB or ANY help from pretty much anyone. it's fun to compare apples to volkswagens isnt it.

You mean every one of those losses where we either had a running back go for 125+ or 5ypc?

Sean White could hand the ball off to the opposing DE on purpose and some of you would argue that it was the OT fault for allowing him in the backfield

I'm still confused how this amazing/great QB Sean White hasn't already beat out Jeremy who throws balls backwards and JF3 who supposedly can't pass

If he was as good as half of y'all think, he should be able to beat out these supposed scrubs in spring ball

by the time White got Robinson back he could barely stand up and had no business even being on the field. before Robinson came back our ground game was pathetic. our receivers were some of the worst I ever remember all season, for both QBs. play calling was as well. IDK what else to tell you.

Gus/Rhett's red-zone offense has always sucked (without Cam at least).

With White in there? It was exponential suck.

I'd love to hear you justify this statement.

Afterwards, I'll provide the stats to point out how full of shite this statement is

2014 Iron Bowl.

The fundamental flaw with Ole FieldGoal Gus' O is that when your core philosophy is run to throw it deep and do not s ore long TDs, then your long passes do not work in the red zone because the field shrinks.
