I'll take your word for it as you came with the boom stick knowledge on your rebuttal. Your problem is you think you're smarter than you really are, which makes you out yourself as a douche on a regular basis.

In his defense you haven't demonstrated why he is wrong.

I'm just saying the level of preparation and film study is different now compared to what it was then, but feel free to cherry pick somemore to support your theory.

It's old hat now. Everyone knows we run on first down. And they are always ready. And everyone knows we have trouble converting on 3rd and 5+ yards. And lo and behold, they're right.

JJ is the answer.

We should only contemplate a change if we lose. We just won by 4TDs so I see no reason to make a change. NM, Sammie, and the D will get their revenge against LSU next week.

Just rolled in da Branch from Auburn Alabama. We were stroking up 85 tonight

Just in time to see the Cocks melt on the score board.

I cannot help but believe those desiring JJ are reacting prematurely as there's no evidence substantial enough to guarantee a better performance from the offense with him under center. We've only seen a series here or there. The coaches know more than all of us. For all we know, they could believe JJ is easier to figure out than Nick...we just don't know.

I'm not for a change, but to be fair, he did throw for 250 in the first half of the first game.

I'm a big JJ fan. I wouldn't be pissed about a change, but making it right now would be a mistake imo.

Also, the team is well ahead of where it was this time last year. Our expectations have understandably grown, but maybe they have grown a little to much.

Other than putting up 21 in one half on the team that just held TAMU to 28 in regulation?

Okay, sure.

If you are stating this then you need to take into account what NM did to Arkansas in the 2nd half as well.

I just expected them to be clicking better. I mean, we haven't been running a whole lot of plays this year. The play calling has been real basic and conservative if we are going to so that, you would expect us to click a little better and execute the bread and butter better. With as much talent we have returning this year, you would think we would be able to spread te ball around more, and keep defenses guessing a little better. I mean, it looks like defenses k ow every speed sweep we run.

I agree, but this wouldn't even be a topic if we were running the ball as well as we were in the second half of that game.

You are the one that picked the parameters of 7 games no one knew us, right? I just showed you what the stats were. Did it not jive with your argument?

Didn't we run it almost exclusively on first down last year? You don't think teams had film of our tendencies last year?

The point is we do not have the level of blocking that we did last year.

Now with all that said do I think it is just the OL's fault? No. I will agree with you on the point that Gus gets tunnel vision and stubborn in his play calling at times. Nick can be better at his passing and I know JJ can pass better than Nick.

We aren't struggling because of Nick Marshall and JJ will make everything better. Watch the games again, when our OL gets into a rhythm and on a roll we are fricking good. The issue is our OL is inconsistent and can't maintain that level of play.

Going for 30-50 yard bombs on 3rd and 7 over and over is low percentage completions to begin with.

I am anxious to see JJ play as much as anyone, and see Barber and Roc kick arse. However, the real problems of why we are struggling is our OL. Not exclusively, but a big reason.

Nick needs to stop going deep on every pass. He either throws the quick slant or the go route into double coverage. There has to be another route being run. Has to be.

@RockyMtnTigerWDE

Well stated regarding the Oline. I think they are to blame for the majority of the frustrations today, but everyone on here is focused on the QB situation.

Agree, Rocky summed it up well.

This QB controversy crap is completely laughable and that is about as far as I will go in even dignifying it.
