I really don't think Big Game Bob is interested in returning to the crush of a fulltime CFB HC gig.

That said, I'd rather him end up at AU than anyone else that's been named thus far. Just don't think it's even a remote possibility, this year or ever.

Agreed on all points. Not a huge pants on fire about firing Gus type guy here but would be thrilled about Big Game Bob. Not happening though!

I didn’t expect old arse Mack Brown to coach again and it’s pretty surprising how well UNC is doing.

You’ve been pretty vague about who you would consider an upgrade over Gustav.

Care to provide a name of two that you would consider going after?

I was asking Mike, since he seems adamantly opposed to Stoops.

Looked at a few of his recent posts, and he is committed to replacing Gustav. But he hasn’t named the guy.

Stoops turned us down a year or two ago. Do you think he has had some come to whatever moment?

I don't think he ever turned us down as there was never an offer. In regards to rumors Stoops said no one from Auburn had been in contact with him and that he doesn't talk to teams that have an existing coach.

ETA this quote... “I haven’t talked to anybody from Auburn. I haven’t met with anybody nor am I set to talk to anybody. It’s just foolish speculation that has no basis to it."

Sauces tell me we’re bringing Jay Jacob’s in to head up the search. Here’s the initial list.

1. Muschamp
2. Ellis Johnson
3. Ted Roof
4. Derrick Mason
5. Tim Horton

Stoops would instantly help win those head to head recruiting battles we’ve been losing to saban and kirby. He’s my top choice.

Do you think Ole Rhett will bring in Roof or Ellis to coach the defense?

Kevin Greene or Takeo Spikes I'd guess. T-Rob is on the market as well.

I'm telling you, Sark is the guy. Here would provide an immediate boost to our recruiting and he'd actually be able to coach up our well-meaning, athletic, poorly coached QB.

FIFY

I have no idea how this guy keeps coming up. He is no upgrade.
