Agreed - A lot has happened for me since Auburn started to suck (3 kids, new house, etc) plus all the big changes to CFB in general.

I'm very interested to see how much of the magic will be recaptured for me if we start to really compete again.

Hahaha. I actually had 4 emu’s a few years ago just to help with coyotes. I hated them.

Got rid of them for the donkeys.

This was the late 90s in central Florida but a neighbor leasing land out by cane fields had a bunch of emus. Hilarious birds but dumb as a rock and I'd imagine a pain to look after.

Smurphy, good in livestock right now. At least prices are up. Rough on grain farmers. Cotton farmers DOA.

It's crazy. I haven't been to an Auburn sporting event since the 2019 Iron Bowl.

2020 - Covid season
2021 - our son was born in October and we didn't want to risk getting sick before he came/right after he was born
2022 - newborn and didn't want to leave him to go to games
2023 - daughter was diagnosed in utero at 20 weeks (Sept) and it just didn't feel a draw to go
2024 - a 2/3 year old and a little one, again too much to try to go to a game.

Exactly the same for me. After having season tickets for so many years, the 2019 Iron Bowl game was my last at JHS

2019 Iron Bowl
2020 Covid
2021 - 2025 Move south

My old man and I try to make one a year, usually we shoot for an easy win like SJSU or Alabama A&M but we were in person at the Texas A&M game last year.

Kids are growing up...

Trying to run a business and work. 1 daughter in college, 1 son just graduated high school headed to conductor school, 1 son playing AAU/Travel Circuit basketball, 1 daughter doing dance & tumbling.

Still take my mom to a football & basketball game each year.

This will be the first fall without having a kid as a student at AU since 2018.

I still have tickets and a tailgate, but I'm not sure how many games I'll get to. Definitely the uga and bama, but I haven't looked closely at the schedule to know what else I'll make the schlep to.

Same here. Kids, big move, new job, new house, all that. My parents and the in-laws are all retired now and around a lot. All good things, but I think a lot of us on this board that were super active in the early 2010s now have a lot going on

But for real, it has been totally dead around here. Crazy dead...... Hope you are doing well up there and getting some good weather. All my boys in Georgia are crying the blues about the shite weather in north Georiga right now. Hell, it was in the 50's up there this morning and its almost June

Other than some soaking rainstorms, all warm weather in the past few weeks. I've had a bunch of beach days I have been in the water swimming a lot.

I don't know if these rain storms you speak about. I think it's only rained two days here since the hurricanes in October.

Woof, you're not joking. Just looked at the last month there in Florida and your area is getting missed lately but Orlando has done well

I can only remember one good rain in 7 months.

Dry as hell.

But the season is upon us.

Hate to hear about your dad. Hang in there. We went through that with my wife parents. Both passed close to each other and had dementia. Really a hard time. You have your hands full...

Just lost my dad a couple weeks ago. He had a good run but he was riddled with Alzheimer’s. It was tough to watch, and deal with. Especially in the last few weeks. You see a side of Superman that is helpless. I miss him but I’m glad he is at peace and suffering no more.
