Wherein AURantards are encouraged to admit all of their horridly bad past takes.

I’ll get it started:

I firmly believed that Mario Cristobal would be the next great HC, and that AU would be challenging for the SEC West in his first season if we hired him.

Mea culpa

I thought Harsin was going to be a great coach for Auburn.

Also thought Bo was wrong to leave

I thought and posted that Jeremy Johnson would follow in Nick Marshalls footsteps at Auburn. He would just pick the ball up and carry on what Malzahn built with Nick. Possibly even winning a heisman after watching him against a few FCS teams his first season.

Then 2015 happened and I was wrong

I thought Harsin was actually going to be good at recruiting with his lackeys and Darren Uscher

That was confusing to me when he was hired. A lot here thought he would. The knock on Harsin coming in was that he was hard to get along with and that he was a bad recruiter and didnt like to do it

I thought Harsin was going to be better at recruitment. I thought he’d get a lot more out of the QBs. I thought our offense would have looked a lot better. He was a colossal failure in every department of coaching

It truly is amazing at how overrated he is as a head coach.

If you just go back and look at the games he coached, both at Miami and Oregon, it is so plain to see.

He should be an offensive line coach and a recruiting coordinator. That is his juice

I thought Harsin just needed more time

I thought Turner Gill should be our HC

I thought Kheil Frazier was going to be the next great AU QB when he was a recruit

Just 3 off my awful takes over the years

I was happy #stopthesteele was successful and that we got Harsin because of it.

Steele was definitely the better choice in hindsight, but neither were good.

I thought (hoped) Harsin would be a lot better than he turned out to be. I seriously think he stopped trying to win.

I am often wrong.

Sorry.

I thought Harsin could do it.

I did not know that he did not recruit.

I thought Owen Pappoe as second coming of Takeo Spikes.

I thought Bo would be the same at Oregon.

I thought J Johnson was the real deal after the Arkansas 1st half.
I never like Harsin as a coach but after a 6-2 start I started to think I was wrong

My worst was probably believing that the way Gus carried himself and coached the 2017 UGA & Bama games would be how things would be the remainder of his time at AU.

I...was wrong.
