This is an embarrassing loss no question, it’s just the first season… sometimes we need shite like this to go down to get better.

Brother Hugh on the radio now. He did not apologize. Credit to Zach Etheridge, he did.

Worst Auburn loss I’ve seen. Unreal. You can say what you want about what the potato famine did to our program, but look at the last few weeks. There was just no excuse for this. Chizik had one of the worst Auburn teams in 2012. He got scared from lower level teams, but we won.

This is on Brother Hugh’s head. He has cemented himself in Auburn history. He doesn’t have a hole to dig out of, he’s got a damn Grand Canyon to get out of. We’ll see, but I just can’t get excited.

As fans we over react. The Arkansas game gave us a false sense of how good we are. But the same happened to the coaches and players.

We were beat at the line of scrimmage. The game plan was pedestrian. The fans did not show up.

Team is too used to losing. No guarantees they will become winners like we are used to at Auburn.

Who cares? That team got beat down points wise worst loss ever in JHS to TAM. Absolutely nothing good about the 2012 team.

I was in school when 2012 happened, and while I’m in no way saying that today’s game was anything other than an absolute embarrassment, it is crazy to me how many fans are acting as if this is the worst thing to ever happen in the history of Auburn football. It’s bad, but we’ve been through some hellish down years over the past couple of decades. Whether Hugh is the guy or not I don’t know (he wasn’t my first choice, personally), but it’s his first year and our roster is as bad across the board as I’ve ever seen it. Time will tell, but the melodrama and melting from our fan base sure is a sight to behold.

I wish auburn fans would just accept that we were far behind other teams in our league and we’re gonna have this kind of year. We are staring at two classes that could potentially be top ten classes. You don’t think that changes our trajectory? I’m noticing not many fans here are comfortable with an actual process and just want instant results.

Because a good many of our fan base have that second tier mentality. Keep firing coaches until we maybe umm eventually get our guy.

We would actually just like to not get clowned at home and mercy knee’d by a rent a win where we were favored by 26.

I agree that fans have to be patient and I totally understand what you were meaning. We are definitely far behind teams like Georgia, LSU, Alabama, and even an Ole Miss at this point.

But we are not three touchdowns behind New Mexico state and talent in Jordan hare stadium. The losses this year have been on cue to what I thought we would do. But this game is inexcusable. I’m not saying we fired a guy, I’m just saying his job got a lot harder by losing a game to a CSA team at the end of the season. At this part of the season, he should be able to take the talent that Auburn has and beat a CSA program.

Nevermind that Gus is only a 5-6 shite coach this year, he would have lost to that New Mexico State team. He basically did when he lost to Minnesota because they were spitting images of each other. Both teams were so were so well coached that they were sliding in bounds while our star RB goes out of bounds.

My son who goes to Troy is talking shite tonight. This is a fricking historic loss. You folks can put whatever lipstick you want on it, but the program is now stained.

I’m done. Gus and harsin broke me. Then I opened up a bit with the promise of hope from a “good” coach. I have to find a way to stop giving a frick about auburn football. It’s just not worth it.

I am 44 years old. Took my football number (22) after Brent Fullwood. Been an AU fan my entire life even when all my family worshiped at the shrine of Bear and were that other school’s fans.

After the 2017 season something changed. As I have said before, AU (of which I still love) started becoming a team in which I knew when we went behind I gave away all confidence we could come back. Gus is gone. Enter the Idaho idiot. At this point it is battered wife syndrome. AU has fundamentally failed us as fans for the past 6 years for sure. I personally think it will require a situation where the money guys get out of the way, a culture change from the top must take place, and get a field general that doesn’t have to cower to those with the purse. Bring back hard nosed football with kids that WANT to be at AU and play accordingly instead of worrying about their “drip” and followers on social media.
