We just can’t wait around to see if Aden gets better. Nil money is tied up and we need someone who can help the back court out.

You are right, in 2017 there were 3 teams in the top 16 of Team Defensive Efficiency and 4 in the top 30, this year there was only one besides us (Tenn). Miss state at 49 was the only other in the top 100. So yeah, Harper had to play much tougher defenses as a freshman than Aden did. Not to mention Broome, Jaylin, and CBM blow away any help Harper had offensively his freshman year.

Hoke believes Cardwell is coming back. Said things can always change but right now, after meeting with the staff last week, he seems confident Cardwell plans on coming back for one last year.

Lmao of course we ship out the 1 guard who could actually get us into out offense. Aden over Tre is crazy.. Not that I think Tre is a great player, but we saw over a full season who the better player is. Bruce is putting a lot of faith in Aden, because if he's terrible again then people are going to be pointing fingers. If Aden was a 3 or 4 star player this isn't even a conversation.

It's really not. You get an experienced guy in the portal and Aden is the backup. His ceiling is much higher than Tre's.

Based on his shooting alone. He struggled with it mentally this season, but his range and quick release can be game changing. Tre isn't really a game changer. Aden can be. You need to get past thinking the dude is stuck looking like he did for the rest of his career.

I saw nothing from either one of them against Yale.
If you cant see the higher upside in Aden then I dont know what you are seeing.

There's also nothing to suggest we shipped him out.. Probably had a conversation with Bruce about recruiting Pegues and Rice and decided to on his own

I never saw it. I saw a guy who isn't physically ready to play the position in this league. We need someone who can get to the basket, move the ball, lead the offense. Tre, at times, could be that guy. I never saw it in Holloway.
If we're riding with Aden, I hope we get the best we can from the portal. Especially if we're bringing in Pettiford as a 2.

Regarding Aden, remember when Coach Buzz praised Tre and said the transformation from yr 1 to 2 was amazing.
