I'd say that AU fans are one of like 10 fanbases in the country that apparently don't enjoy a conference tournament title

I do agree that Nate has the upper hand in the state for the time being. No doubt about it. The bar has been raised.

I'll repeat though, two of our last three teams have been great. Just tweak and tweak until you get over the hump.

I bet everyone on this board has had really serious things happen in their life that are way more important than a game.

For all I know, a person in a wheelchair is reading this post. A person who lost a child to accident or disease could be looking at basketball as a distraction.

Sometimes fans get way too invested. I know I have at times. I was ridiculously livid during the recent Yale debacle. I’m glad I was just watching at home.

Yelling at my TV did not help defend the hot shooting Greek or allow our free throws to drop.

It’s been two weeks. It does not matter anymore. Time to look forward to Equestrian Nationals.

This is what some here need to realize. Not go overboard that the program needs a complete overhauling.

Sounds like Auburn is going after Myles Rice (WSU) and JP Pegues the hardest at guard in the portal right now.
Well that's going to be a real problem for several in this thread. Rice only shoots 28% from 3 and Pegues is only 6'-1". No adjustment from Bruce, we are doomed

I mean yeah we enjoyed winning that hardware. The team deserved that hardware. Most would trade an Elite 8 for SEC tournament championship though.

Yeah, I'd go Natty -> F4 -> E8 -> SEC Reg Title -> Sweet 16/SECT Title (pecking order depending on how the runs look) -> Tourney Appearance

Pegues looks more like the guard Bruce wants but at least he can shoot the Jay

The hang up with Rice is that he apparently wants to wait to transfer and it sounds like Bruce wants someone to get in asap.

I understand that the ending to this season was very difficult but as a fan base I think it’s important that we positively support the basketball team during a tough time. Yes I know it hurts for us as fans but trust that it hurts players and coaches ever more.

Specifically Aden has a very tough job. Any pg that has played for Bp will tell you that. A lot is is expected out of you (just like everyone on the team) and this is his first year in one of the best college which makes the job even tougher.

Throughout talking to Aden throughout the season trying to give guidance.. I understand the task he has at hand and even through his difficult moments through the season.. his TEAM still had a successful season where they (WE) were able to add another championship.

I think Aden himself would tell you he wants to play better himself. But I know with his hard work and dedication to being better.. there’s no doubt in my mind that he can be a special player in the Auburn basketball program. Experience is the best teacher!

If you look at 2019 when we went to the final 4.. me (3 yrs),BB( 4 yrs), HS (4 yr),DP(4 yrs),AM (3 yrs), MD (2 yrs), SD (2 yrs), AW (3 yrs).. those hard moments we went through early built us for those moments getting to a final 4

Saying all this to say.. as an Auburn family I think we should continue to positively encourage our team and encourage they stay together as long as possible because it’s builds an undeniable chemistry which matters when you get to tournament

I feel like this was a Will Herring moment prompted by the boosters.

Aden must be staying. (Boom)

I'd tell him the same thing I said on here the other day.. The there is a massive gap between the kind of athlete Jared was compared to Aden. That's the difference.

I want Aden to stay. People have been too quick to judge a freshmen. Players like Jabari and Cooper who were able to make the jump very quickly are the exception, not the rule.

We have been waiting and he faltered down the stretch. Sometimes you can’t wait for players to develop. We need immediate production.
