Starting pg on one of the best teams in the nation, doesn't turn the ball over etc. He's every bit as worthy of it as Condon from UF and Demary from UGA. The other 5 have been studs though.. Dilly, Sheppard, Wagner, Hubbard, Murray-Boyles
It's stupid they do more than 5 players on these teams..

Any guard willing DPOY is stupid…. Ziegler is a good defensive rebounding guard, but it takes away from their fast break. He doesn’t alter shots the way others can… and that has way ore of an impact on an opposing team’s offense.

Yeah.. Ziegler is one of the better on ball defenders of opposing ball handlers I've ever seen.. but he really only impacts one player at a time. Broome is the glue that holds our whole defense together. Our perimeter defenders aren't great but they are well coached on how to funnel everything into Broome just like we were doing with Kessler

I don't think we can get to the 3 line.

Agreed, unless the committee ends up not holding our Q1 record against us. Basically every bracket has us as the 16 overall seed, so we are much closer to be a 5 than a 3. Win the first game just to be safe to hopefully guarantee a 4 seed.
Reminder to everyone that the conference tournaments have historically made very little difference in seeding, other than guaranteeing a spot in. The F4 team went into the tourney as a five seed, went off on basically everyone, and stayed a 5 seed.

If we were to win the tournament and not move to 3 that would be so dumb. Also it's ridiculous how little value the conference tournaments have to the committee

I'm not worried about seeding at this point. We need to be clicking on all cylinders. Hopefully we take this tournament seriously and get dialed in.

I agree. It ain't that hard. They do this once a year.. stay up a little later on Saturday night and say "ok, if team A beats team B that's probably enough to have them jump team C, if team A loses they hold where they currently are."
I'll volunteer to serve on the selection committee if needed!
The conference tournaments are pretty fun as it stands regardless but they would become that much better if seeding were truly on the line.

No i think a December game against app state is more significant than a mid march game against Tennessee in a tournament format

Looks like we will be playing USCe as expected, unless Arkansas does something crazy in the last 5 mins. They have eaten Ark up inside this game, which won’t come as easily against Auburn.

With Stack leaving, I'm assuming there are some defectors in the off season. Got no clue who might leave, who might stay etc., but Ven-Allen Lubin had a nice year. 6'8" 230lb power forward. Played freshman year at ND. His sophomore stats this year:

This is my opinion. UK is a good team but their NET ranking doesn’t put them as a top 4 seed. The name on the front of the jersey should not matter. They have 2 Q2 losses and a Q3 loss.
