Needs to be standard kind of numbers. 5 guards obviously you need 2 of them to be point guards. You need 1 dead eye shooter and 1 combo guard of the 5. You need 3 at the 3 spot. Probably need 2 slasher/dunker types and 1 shooter. You need 5 bigs. 2 flex players, 2 defenders, and an upper level shot blocker.
If you can get all that while playing with chemistry and not making mental mistakes you can win a lot of games.
However will say at any of the none true blue bloods it’s hard to find a direct replacement every year for a particular purpose.
One more thing I want to win so however is the best way to win I will take but man do I miss shooting and running and gunning taking chances on the defensive end and jumping passing lanes and scoring consistently in the upper 70’s/lower 80’s

LOL I recall an article where a walk on gets awarded a scholarship. Over time, and in my mind, I gave that scholly to the guy that plays. Oh well, carry on.

I’ve heard a few different people say that Flan returning isn’t completely off the table.

That would be a tough look for pops. Given the options starting at the 3 though I’d probably go 1. Tyson 2. Flan 3. Cleveland

It would be in our best interest if he left. We need a better shooter at the position.

Wes takes players and leaves his kid?

I understand Flanigan has had a frustrating run with AU but look at how he played in our last 5-6 games (all against great teams). Gonna be tough to get that via portal from anyone unless it’s Tyson or Cleveland (who I don’t think is all that great)

Tyson is a great player but I have a hard time seeing us get a player that kansas really wants

Cleveland shot a little better from three and he was only a sophomore. The upside seems to be higher with him.

Yeah and to your point from earlier Cleveland also is maybe a better fit for what we need from the 3 because we will have high usage 1’s and 2’s. Flanigan’s main flaw is he often tries to do too much. Cleveland can be more of a catch and shoot guy with us I think

From the UK 247: LINK
quote:
A physically imposing 6-foot-7, 210-pound wing forward, White averaged 9.0 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 1.0 assists while shooting 47.4% from the floor, 26.5% from three-point range and 69% from the free throw line in 26.7 minutes while starting 29 of 33 games for the Trojans as a freshman this season en route to being named to the Pac-12 All-Freshman Team. He entered the transfer portal on April 19.
White scored in double figures in 13 games with a pair of 20-point games, scoring 20 in a win over Long Beach State on Dec. 14 and a season-high 22 in a win over Washington on Feb. 4.
quote:
"White has a powerful build and plays with a tireless motor. He is an aggressive wing who is capable from behind the arc and works to leave an imprint on the game in any positive way he can," wrote 247Sports national recruiting analyst Brandon Jenkins. "His feel for the game also can go unnoticed at times. He has shown talent as a passer and has experience throughout his career of playing with like talent."
quote:
Originally from Dallas, White was ranked No. 35 overall in the 2022 class by 247Sports. He committed to Kansas as a sophomore before choosing USC over Oklahoma State and Auburn among others after transferring to Prolific Prep in California for his senior season.

Wes and Al aren’t exactly close from my understanding.

Isn’t the rumor that Wes and Al got into at a practice?
Posted on 4/23/23 at 5:49 pm to AA7
Yeah supposedly Wes open hand slapped him in the face. That’s what led to flans break from the team in the preseason
Posted on 4/23/23 at 6:35 pm to auburnnyc94
I hope the Flanigans never comeback. Stressed everyone on team out.
