That’s basketball. It’s a game of runs. You hope your runs are longer and theirs shorter.

Agree. Unfortunately seems like that has been an issue for the last few years where we are too chaotic and turn the ball over in spurts. I think we push it too hard some times

I think that will smooth out as these guys get more real game experience playing together. There are a lot of new pieces trying to mesh together.
Having 10 guys all playing 15+ MPG is going to lead to some TOs here and there also.
The good thing about that is we will run the legs out from under a lot of teams who can only put a 7-8 man rotation on the floor.

Had a couple of big St. Bon fans near me at the game... their takeaways I overheard.

(1) Broome is NBA ready
(2) "Good teams win, great teams cover"
(3) On seeing KD Johnson's burst to the basket and sprinting back to close a gap on D - "Holy shite that guy's fast"
(4) "Well our guys didn't give up"
(5) "Venning is our only guy who can hang with these guys"

Bruce wants to play 10 long term but he’s definitely just been trying to gather data in these games it seems. It’s been borderline platoon like with subs. The minute distribution probably won’t be as even the deeper we get into the season so I think you’re correct on all points

I agree. I think he’s testing out rotations right now.

Dividing 200 minutes among 10 players.
How it may evolve for SEC season.

Aden: 30 minutes
Donaldson: 20 minutes
Denver: 20 minutes
Tazmainian Devil: 15
Broome: 25
Cardwell: 15
Chaney: 15
JWill: 25
Moore:15
Baker-Mascara:20

In the past during SEC play the rotations have been about 25/15 for starter/backup. I would think that holds going forward

It is nice to know that foul trouble might be mitigated somewhat by quality depth.

Also I’m sure CBP may through some lineups with Aden and Tre together at times.

Or Broome and Cardwell.

Or 4 guards. Etc and so forth.

Lot of options.

I’m cheering for the guy, but question whether his game translates to the NBA. He’s got that men’s league ymca skill set that he makes work in the SEC, which is impressive.

Gameday! Expecting a thinner crowd with Thanksgiving and students being gone. As usual, they are letting folks into the student section to try and fill things up.

Would really like to see:
1. Chaney produce a little on offense
2. CBM on a break-away
3. No injuries
4. Easy W

Guess Broome and Denver are sitting out tonight. Does Addarin Scott get the backup 5 minutes?

S Pearl said on pregame A&M has played 14-15 guys most games, rebounded well and has gotten to the line a lot this season.

Perfect opportunity to sit. They’d both picked up a few knocks. Sit one game and get a ton of rest.

Callfoy I’m with you need and want to see Chaney get some set offensive plays just to get in a flow.

I’ve been very happy with his rebounding so far. I still want to see how he handles big 4s in the SEC.

They’ve both picked up minor injuries and I suspect even our walk ons would compete with Alabama A&M. This is one of the worst teams we have played in the Pearl era
