I imagine Cignetti grabbed a bigger NIL meal.

They only took one OL transfer and it was an interior guy, so they weren’t in a market anyways. That being said, Simmons also isn’t the highest rated guy. I think he was like ~24 or so of OT’s in the transfer portal.

Yesterday they had Leyrer at left guard with the ones over Plazz.

Gotta say its tough bringing in all these guys who have not played together, in a new system for most, and some like Leyrer and Ramil havent played in over a year due to injury.

That's because youre always going to have a mixed bag.
Same for football or basketball or girlfriends or anything in life.
Some will be Great, some will be average, some will be bad. If you bring in 10 new guys then at the least,1 of starting 5 cannot be bad.

Was it Leyrer or Strand they had at guard? I thought I had seen it was Strand.

You are correct it was Strand. Course he was injured his last season and has not played in a year and a half as well.

I feel the same way Jang, I mean you brought in what a dozen linemen, certainly you can get a serviceable line.

Sounds like the OL had it rough today. They were chewed out repetitively and did extra conditioning in the media windows of viewing.

We got about three more weeks to get them up to snuff.

I saw one of our guys post a video of Cole Skinner getting onto a guy for basically just being lazy af before Huddy jumped on him during a drill.

If their defense had any semblance of life we probably lose that game.

Alex Golesh is so soft.

How soft is he?

Alex Golesh shows his wife how to find the Lifetime channel on the Roku.

I didnt think deserved its own thread, but it is fall camp related. Former AU player, Derrick Hall getting lit up by his coach in practice for almost hitting the QB.

Yeah, I'm with you. That was a bit much from Macdonald there. Seemed like he was just on a power trip for whatever reason. "I run this practice..."

From the little that's been in interviews from the scrimmage today, sounds like your typical scrimmage one with good play and bad. Golesh said Byrum and the first string receivers had a very solid day and redzone offense and defense looked good. Some sloppy play though for sure. Cody Sigler on defense was a standout again.

Lot of situational stuff. Sounds like the Offensive line rotated people in and out about every drive. Ramil apparently played every snap of the scrimmage. Strand was mostly competing at Guard.

Go Crazy,

Who else are they rotating at tackle to be the third man out? With Tai out they had Strand out there some, now he is playing guard, is it going to be Zierer?

Just curious if you are seeing anything.

Not getting anywhere near the QB during two a days was sacred 30 years ago. I get it.

Not that I’ve seen, but that isn’t saying much, it’s just the twitter-verse. Problem with this time of year is they may have a good idea of the main rotation and are starting to experiment with the “oh shite” scenarios, so even Strand may be just a backup emergency guard option. No idea.

Watching that safety try and shoulder tackle him gave me chills thinking back to Leonard Fournette tossing off Tray Matthews like a rag doll when he tried the same thing, on national TV, quite embarrassing that entire game.

Byron Brown make our running back room look like a bunch of Lilliputians.
