I can't believe they just lumped us in with Kansas and Gonzaga as "all these big schools."

Borderline erotic to read that.

Any thoughts on who you'd prefer the fourth team to be?

I say either Michigan State or Villanova if possible.

I’d rather not play another experienced team. If we are gonna play a big dog, I’d rather play one that’s bringing in a bunch of one and done type guys.

So does that mean they are putting us and ST. Joe's on the same level?

I thought they could have gotten a better 4th basketball team in there...

No, it’s likely a matter of just finding someone.

Right. And it had to be a team Kansas agreed to play against as well.

Auburn to play Troy in December

quote:

Another opponent has been added to Auburn’s nonconference basketball schedule -- and it’s an in-state program the Tigers haven’t played in more than a decade.

Auburn will host Troy at Auburn Arena on Dec. 19, Troy announced Tuesday with a reveal of its full 2020-21 schedule. It will be the first meeting between the Tigers and the Trojans on the hardwood since 2009, when Troy registered its first win in the series' history.

Prior to that 2009 meeting, Auburn won each of the first eight games between the two programs dating back to 1949. Auburn and Troy have met just twice this century, though, with the 2009 game and a 2006 meeting on the Plains.

Auburn’s full 2020-21 schedule has yet to be revealed, though the Tigers will open the season in Fort Myers, Fla., on Nov. 25 against St. Joe’s as part of a four-team showcase that also includes Gonzaga and Kansas. Auburn will then play Gonzaga on Nov. 27 in the same event. Auburn is also scheduled to travel to Baylor on Jan. 30 as part of the SEC/Big 12 Challenge.

Man I’m excited about Powell. I hope we are able to eventually use him like Bryce. I’d love to have Cooper for two years and then grab Scoot.
