dumb shots and turnovers. fricking Purifoy jacking up a 3 with 19 on the shot clock. Stupid shite like that gets you beat by good teams. I lauded this team earlier for not letting teams get back in the game. Me and my big mouth.

So much of defense is simply effort. It’s normal to want to relax when up, but we aren’t good enough offensively to relax on defense.

Not sure how good Ole Miss is

Very, very bad. They’ve got all kinds of issues. It’s one we have no excuse losing, but Kermit seems to be someone who knows how to defend against Bruce very well.

That Purifoy shot was so bad it's almost worth making him run bleacher steps at the next practice. Hopefully the fact they hit a 3 right after it to bring within 5 made him realize how bone-headed that was.

Don’t know why but our teams seem to have these kind of games even when we are fully experienced and have the superior talent. The New Mexico game in the tournament last year is a prime example and Pearl would be the first to tell you we shouldve lost.

This year it’s no surprise. I’m just praying for a W at 0:0s. I don’t really trust J’Von to counter the press to get it up the court, much less run a good offense.

As of late, I've been very underwhelmed with J'von playing PG. He just doesn't seem to have the quick vision to find the good passes consistently. Lately, he's been dribbling A LOT and causing us to throw up bad shots late in the clock. Good teams guard him close too, and he seems to struggle with that.

Purifoy also needs to get back on defense! Overall, I am just glad we are playing pretty well even after losing Harper, Brown, and Okeke. Okoro is a dang MONSTER.

We don't have any bad losses, but we don't have any great wins. Just keep winning SEC games and things will take care of themselves.

Not sure why you say this. Big10 cleaned up in OOC play compared to other P5 conferences

Because they have one 11-9 and two 11-8 teams ahead of us. That is bs. At some point losing should be losing

Kenpom isn’t a resume measuring stick... it’s a tool for gambling.

It is a committee tool. Kenpom has us projected to finish 6th in sec. Not sure what 5 other teams have done better than us

Notably Wisconsin is ranked one spot below us. Wish Richmond would've taken the L earlier this season.

It's funny how in football SEC fans point to scheduling strength

For basketball SEC fans point to W/L

Maybe we should all accept that both Your record and how you played W or L should matter.

It's not about 5 teams having done better than us. For example, we are tied with Bama at 4-2 in the conference but their conference schedule is a good bit easier the rest of the way. Miss St. is only 1 game behind & their remaining conference schedule is easier too. Conference schedules aren't created equally so I could see Ken Pom having 1 of them finish higher than us in conference standings.
