Jared Harper played a couple minutes in Sun’s regular season blowout victory.
He is officially the first Auburn player to play in the NBA since Daniels.
Not counting Toney

There were a couple of those Suns-Mavs playoff games on NBATV yesterday when Marquis played a good bit. He was so smooth with the ball. He would've been hell if he had an outside shot.

I missed that. I thought he was playing in the G-league for them? How did he get on the main roster?

He's on a 2 way contract with them. The short of it is that the G League preseason doesn't start until next week. You get up to 45 days with the NBA roster on a 2 way contract so he will likely be with them for the next week and then maybe later on this season when needed.
He wouldn't be up with them regardless if double dribble Jerome was active.

Per Bruce, the top 7 in the rotation has been established:
The 5 seniors + Okoro and surprisingly Jamal Johnson. He said everyone else is competing for the other 2-3 rotation spots.
The next 3 he mentioned, FWIW, were Turbo (who obviously will have to play), Stretch, and Jaylin Williams.

So Chad Prewitts daughter on the Bachelor made it to the "hometown" dates
Rumor is that Bruce Pearl / AU arena will make an appearance and AU bball will be represented well.

Gene you used to be the guy getting us hyped for the season in this thread.. now you’re just giving us bachelor updates.
I’m not complaining though, I knew Madison a little bit when I was in school so it’s cool to hear these updates. Coach Prewett is the man.

Why is that surprising? I think he’ll be our best outside shooter. He has also been in the system longer than the younger ones and has game experience. He played as a true frosh at Memphis.

All reports on him over the past year have been pretty negative, generally. Good to see he is coming around.

Heard this story today though and thought board would laugh

There is a rumor we won a secret scrimmage against Troy.
Stretch supposedly had 6 blocks and hit 2 of 3 from 3.

You don't really want two legitimate bigs on the floor in today's game, but I wonder if Stretch can shoot well enough to where he could play the 4 alongside Wiley, just as an option if the matchup allowed.

I saw one report that we won by 10 (AOT Twitter) and another thread on 247 saying we won by 13 (83-70). Hopefully, we got exposed some.

I’m expecting some early struggles. This team will be playing the complete opposite style of offense we we played last year. Gonna take some adjusting to that as well as having so many new faces.

Bruce and an unnamed assistant are visiting with Jalen Green at his HS today. Per Aaron Torres.

Auburn and Maryland were in today for Top-60 senior Cliff Omoruyi, a source told @Stockrisers.

We only have 4 real options at PF/C in Purifoy, Anfernee, Stretch and Wiley. Wiley and Amfernee are also fouling machines (6+ per 40) and Stretch likely will be too.
Not sure we have the depth luxury to think about matchup options.
