We only have 4 real options at PF/C in Purifoy, Anfernee, Stretch and Wiley. Wiley and Amfernee are also fouling machines (6+ per 40) and Stretch likely will be too.

Not sure we have the depth luxury to think about matchup options.

Yeah I mostly agree, just trying to peddle some mindless drivel to get away from Nix/Gatewood talk. Lol.

BP was discussing Jaylin Williams as a guy he expects to get PT though so there is another option at the 4.

Based only on comments from Bruce last week, the playing rotation seems set to be something like:
Jvon/Turbo 25/15
Doughty/Johnson 30/10
Okoro/Johnson 25/15
Purifoy/Mclemore/Williams 25/10/5
Wiley/Mclemore/Stretch 20/15/5

Jamal Johnson at 25minutes seems unlikely

I'd think it would be closer to

1- Jvon 30 / Turbo 10
2- Doughty 25 / Johnson 10 / Turbo 5
3- Okoro 20 / Johnson 10 / Dought 5 / Purifoy 5
4- Purifoy 20 / McLemore 10 / Williams / 10
5- Wiley 20 / Mclemore 10 / Stretch 10

I imagine we will have small 3 guard lineups with Jvon/Turbo/Doughty in backcourt. I also feel like we will have bigger lineups with Purifoy, Anfernee and Wiley together

Wouldn't be shocked if we see a lineup like

1- Jvon/Doughty
2- Okoro
3- Purifoy
4- Anfernee
5- Stretch/Wiley

The way he's been talking up Okoro defending all 5 positions.. imagine this lineup of death:
1-Jvon
2-Johnson
3-Doughty
4-Okoro (defending the 5)
5-Purifoy (defending the 4)

Would get exposed in extended minutes but could be a weapon in a pinch.

Gotta factor in Cambridge. When he gets healthy he's expected to contribute quite a bit at the 2 & 3.

I'm excited for him like I was when we signed Dunbar and Dunans

I’m guessing the exhibition will not be aired anywhere?

Dunans would’ve been fun to watch on last year’s team

I thought so to, but I was at the first TipOff club meeting Tuesday and Bruce never mentioned Cambridge in going down the playing list and where each would play. Maybe it was bc he is hurt but i thought it odd Cambridge was never mentioned, even though we have heard he was moving up in playing minutes.

Bruce Pearl says Auburn will not have a banner-raising ceremony for its 2019 Final Four banner.

"The banners are up and people can look at them. But we're way past the ceremonial stage. We've got a lot of work to do."

That’s lame. We may never raise another Final Four banner in my lifetime so they decided not to make a big deal of this one? I’m pissed

Champions have banner ceremonies, not semifinalists. Power move by Bruce, I like it.

Any other time after our first time in school history I agree but it's our 1st time so it should be celebrated.

Uhh last I heard we were SEC tournament champs so they should be raising a banner for that as well.

Downvote me to hell but the boys earned it

You can make your own banner and hang it in the kitchen. I’m sure you have some friends that will help you make it feel ceremonial

LINK We had a 40 foot banner hung today celebrating this on the exterior of the arena don’t give me that holier than thou position.

We’ve sucked for years and years yet we’re suddenly too good to celebrate with a banner raising that is commonplace in this sport? OK

I’m okay with no celebration. There’s a chance Bruce went over the decision with the team, or maybe the team decided not to have a ceremony.
