Unfortunately Stidham is not one of the leaders

I would disagree. He is always chatting up the team units on the sideline and the guys believe in him

I think Stidham is a leader, the fans just look at poor pocket presence and his other issues and assume he’s not a leader.

Exactly. Stidham looked better as a true freshman at Baylor than he does 3 years later at Auburn. He took that Baylor team as a true freshman after their starter got hurt and threw 12 TD's to 2 INT's.

But Baylor is a passing school, and develop favorable routes for their QB's, whereas Auburn/Gus haven't really adapted.

If people don't like Stidham then they won't like Bo Nix either.

Players only meetings can be good or bad depending on the situation. My senior year in HS we had a players only meeting bc our coaches were piss poor and didn’t want to change. We started 0-2 and hadn’t been to the playoffs in two years and that’s when we decided to call a meeting. Some bad apples kept bitching and wouldn’t get on board. It was so bad that some guys wanted to lose on purpose to get our HC fired. The bad apples left so the morale got better and we made the playoffs. My HS hasn’t made the playoffs since my senior year which was 7 seasons ago and our Gus like HC finally was forced to resign last year. Hopefully Deshaun and company will get everybody on board for the rest of the year.

Seems like every week the media is doing a quick special on his engagement.

Someone needs to get in Kennedy’s ear and tell her to call it off until he earns himself a ring for his own finger.

It’s sounding like more and more to me that the coaches let the team know that some new guys would be playing WR this week and there was a meltdown about it

No, I don't buy this reasoning. Coaches aren't going to tell veteran players new guys would be playing WR this week.

I think it is a matter of NCM not getting targeted (he has caught only 2 balls in 3 games and none against LSU).

Don't blame him, cause he came here with a big rep.

He is a leader, but he needs to show it on the field with pressure situational results. Where he is failing is in those situations when we need him to complete that 3rd down, or move the team when we need to when we are holding onto a slim lead, or wins a game for us at the end.

It's not off the field or the sidelines that he is lacking...

They also had the advantage of playing a 12 game schedule that included 2 NFL defensive lineman and 3 NFL DB's spread across those 12 opponents.

It's not about liking Stidham. Everybody understands he is the best we have and is very talented. It is about recognizing the difference between a kid with talent and kid playing QB who make plays. Maybe Stidham will grow and improve Jason Campbell did, but historically speaking this "it" is something you are born with...a wonderful example might be Stidham's performance against Clemson with no OL last season vs Lamar Jackson's performance against Clemson with no OL as a true Freshman. Lamar has "it".

I don’t know why he came here. I don’t know why any big time wr would come here to run 3 routes and block.

Not disagreeing with you that a fire hasn’t been lit yet under Stidham to take over and make the high pressure plays, but not sure Lamar Jackson is the best analogy. Sure, Lamar had “it,” but he also had natural speed and elusiveness that Stidham just will never have

Wasn't comparing physical talent...was comparing the nature of "it".

I can't describe "it". I'll try. "It" is the ability to use your talents when it matters most. Fromm has "it" and is more like Stidham in physical talent. He just makes plays when uga needs them. Nick had "it" and used his feet and elusiveness to make plays. Heck, Burrow (small sampling) might have "it".

Fromm and Eason are great examples. Eason has NFL skills, but doesn't have "it" or hasn't shown that he has "it". Fromm IMO may not have true NFL skills, but uga was lucky Eason got hurt last year.

JS was laughing on the sidelines during the UCF embarassment. He is agood guy with a talented arm. But QBs that lead programs to titles have a certain mentality that I don't believe he has. But he is a nice christian boy.
