With spring practice right around the corner what is it that everyone here is looking to see come out of the spring? Personally for me I’ll be watching the RB room. I’d like to see how we’re going to utilize the new transfer back. Hopefully the qb race is truly a battle this year.

I'm curious to what role Freeze is going to have now that he has been diagnosed with cancer and will be going thru treatment.

If it is then we have issues evaluating QBs. We should have a clear #1 with a #2 pushing for the start. If Duece is in the mix to start then either he is extremely exceptional or we will have another issue at the position. If we do start a Freshman it will be another long season.

I want to see the QB play, looking at the OL & DL to see if we have improved. Little worried about the backend of the Defense but we should be ok there.

Excited to see Deuce, I'll get to attend a practice with my booster buddy.

Excited to see Dline, I think they take a big step forward this year.

Most curious about Arnold in Hugh's system.

I also don't believe anyone should be writing Deuce out of the QB 2 spot.
He gets the spring to go through and get reps and Daniels wont be here til the summer.

Quarterback play. It all hinges on that.

No quarterback skills = No wins

There’s only one guy doing that. If Deuce is the real deal, he will be QB2 at least. Freeze doesn’t want another Walker situation, and Daniels is a one and done rental. He’s not in the future plans.

I’m not writing Deuce off. I think he is ahead of where everyone thought he was. He just has a ways to go. Nothing negative about that at.

Arnold is the superior QB at this point.
Daniels has 2 years of starting experience in a P4 school. And is fair dynamic. If you haven’t gone and watched some of his play he’s a decent QB on a bad team.
Deuce is a true freshman with limited success in high school however extremely talented. Just raw.

If you haven’t gone a great OL any of the 3 can be successful. I’m not against Deuce at all and think he can’t be a superstar if he develops correctly but if thrown in the fire to early it could easily be a bust. Thats why OL is so important the next couple years. We have very talented WRs, talented QBs, middle of the pack running backs. If we can put a good consistent OL together we can have a good offense.

All plays look alike when blocking is poor.

Correct. An Oline that can give a QB time to triple pump is doing their job just fine. Get a QB that is a gamer, and the team will follow suit and raise their play to another level.

OL Im not concerned about, for the first time in years. Lots of options, and lots of backup options.

DL, the interior specifically. Malik Blocton and Travis Ganus returning. And Z Walker but he, unfortunately just never reached potential due to injuries. And this transfer Dallas Walker.

Keep hearing about getting a couple in the portal, if they are no better than Dallas, then roll with Malik Autry and Jourdan Crawford and save the money. They will be just as good, even as freshmen, and save money, and be bought into the system.

Pretending some journeyman linemen will give your starters a rest.....only to have your opponent line up and run over your journeymen.
