Football is back fellas. This is an important spring for a lot of positions and players.
What are you guys looking forward to?
For me it’s how much improvement the redshirts have made. How much they can provide in depth.
Then there is QB… for the love please don’t turn this thread into a this player is trash this player should start if you want a real QB battle. It’s a new season under a new OC with Freeze directing the offense. The players should be granted the same exception going into practice.

I plan on having unrealistically high expectations of a championship only to have my hopes dashed during the season.
I am also an Atlanta Falcons fan so double it.

The lines.
How are the trenches looking?
Center : Lew
Can someone order the rest?
Some combination of Miller, Wade, Muskrat, who else is competing to start?

I heard Tyler Johnson is actually the most talented tackle, he just needs experience. Looks like we found a hidden gem there

I would only pencil in any starters. We need open position battles to really improve.
Not down to the individual player but I want to see more physicality from the team. We absolutely sucked in 3 and 2 and 4 and 1 on both offense and defense and that is directly affected by being physical.

Yea. Tyler has been very impressive.
My list above is just tentative. I expect there to be battles every where but LT and center.

I want to see if the Young QB's have what it takes to snatch the Job from PT.
Looking forward to see how far along Cam Coleman is.

OL is going to be good!
2 deep plus some on 3rd string that is not bad.
Worried about the DL bodies but how good are they?

This and this. Besides the starting tackles listed above you have Johnson, Wilfred an all amer JC, Senda who can play tackle or guard, Muskrat can play tackle or guard, sounds like they may even give DeAndre a look at tackle (I think he redshirts). But the kid has been starting at Mater Dei since 9th grade. I also dont think he gets here til summer does he?
Wahoo McDaneil Muskrat, Jeremiah Wright and crew gonna have a battle for that right guard position.
DL, we young on the edges and swiss cheese in the middle.
Good news is, we pick a couple up in the portal after spring, its more of a plug and play position.

“ Start “ ??
That implies at some point you’ve previously stopped?

Observation reports are as follows -
WRs split apart for new comers and players that have been in the program.
We have 4 edge players now. McLeod, B. Williams, Waller, and Joe Phillips has moved from backer to Buck.
K. Scott is working at CB not nickel.
QB rotation was Thorne, Holden, Brown, White

Saw Hank Brown throw a sweet TD pass to Rivaldo in a clip on the AU football Facebook page.
Take that as you will.

Cam Coleman can get low for the get low blocking drill. Kills the hoop. lol

I’ll tell you how I’m going to take it. Hank Brown is going to be a dark horse for the Heisman this year. Anyone that believes differently is a negabarner or PT sycophant.

Walker White has an insanely fast release. Watching his throwing motion during the quick throw drill was impressive.
