All reports are that he is way behind knowing the O.

That isn't accurate. They haven't been able to install the O yet because ALL of the QBs are having an issue picking up the basics of the RPO game and deciding by the formation of the D what to do. Freeze said it himself in his interview from Monday. He also said they would change up how they teach them about RPO starting this week. So hopefully, a light will come on for one of our QBs.

“I was able to choose who I got to throw today,” Shenker said. “I think he’s a great quarterback, and it was a lot of fun to throw with him today.”

Geriner first tossed to Shenker, running back Tank Bigsby and receivers Shedrick Jackson and Caylin Newton, as a scout from the Denver Broncos ran them through footwork drills.

In the final hour of the day, the field was cleared for Newton and Geriner. Newton threw to his brother and Jackson, and Geriner to Shenker and Bigsby. The players would run a couple routes apiece on one end of the field, then jog to the other to mirror — everything from short out routes to slants to post routes to deep shots.

“He's one of the most accurate quarterbacks I've ever met, and he's a good guy,” Bigsby said. “And I'm sure that's why they had him throwing today.”

So Holden has a weak arm, but now a strong arm, but is inconsistent but now

Anything according to Tank dealing with QBs should be taken with a grain of salt. Because he’s definitely salty.

Tank also forgot to mention that "He is also not Robby Ashford"

So he has that going for him

Yeah, I don’t think Tank is a member of the Robby Ashford fan club.

Was this an audition for Holden to raise his stock and peak the interest of potential schools in need of a QB if/when he transfers after spring?? No way he stays here if he's 3rd string and we bring another QB in right?

Several different players have said that Geriner is the most accurate. Perhaps Freeze knows what he has in Geriner and is trying to give every opportunity to the other two?

No matter who comes out number one, I dont think it will be with enough comfort level to not bring in another from the portal.

McCall is on scholly so I would not expect news on him til he graduates, Im still betting he is coming.

And one or two of the others we will lose.

Lol no. The players chose who they wanted to throw to them. They’re not going to put their chances at getting drafted or hurting their stock by letting the coaches just choose to put a guy out there for their own audition.

So what’s the story on Dylan Brooks?

quote:

take a look at the offers of Holden (Tennessee, Kentucky, Cincinnati, Arkansas, LSU, Florida State, Michigan and Michigan State) so yeah I guess these are G5.

First off let me state, this is not a diss on Holden. All I KNOW about him is what I saw on the field this past season. With that said… offers out of high school are irrelevant. Perfect example is Dee Davis. Prior to signing with Auburn, he had offers from LSU, Miami, Ole Miss, FSU, Va Tech, Baylor, Arizona State, Boston College, Kentucky, Nebraska, TCU and many others.

Remind me where he is currently enrolled?

Quote on Holden from a coach at the Pro Day, for those interested:

quote:

The young man has a cannon,” an AFC assistant coach told AL.com. “He makes a lot of throws we like to see on the pro level. I didn’t know much about him before this, but he’s someone I’ll be keeping an eye on as his career unfolds.”

Can we finally put this arm strength thing to bed and just focus on the real reasons he may or may not push for a starting job this year?

I watched the tape of the pro day. To me Holden looked more accurate than Cam. However, the only cannon arm I saw was Cam’s. Holden threw accurate passes against air. Cam threw howitzer missiles.

Just my take vs. an NFL assistant coach. Lol
