We're a QB away from being damn good I think. Our defense is very good. Special teams is average, maybe below average now with McPhearson out.
I have nothing against Thorne. Was hoping he would ball out. He has a few good moments and a lot of bad ones. Not sure everything is his fault, but he's not the guy.. I hate to say it. Wish he was. Wish our offense was just average. Defense would win us games.

Some of these guys on here haven't clued in on the fact that our below-average OL needs to replace multiple starters next year lol. "Just a QB away" is a complete joke. Both tackles are gone, and the last time Freeze got a transfer portal OT it ended up being Percy Lewis.

Furthermore, your best WR is graduating, and the big 5-star freshman has had an underwhelming season. What happens if UGA (who is having major WR problems) or some other team entices Coleman to flip?
The starting RB is gone. Are Alston/Cobb the replacements? There has been some noise on Offord's brother at Tulane as a transfer target, which would suggest that next year's starter might not even be on the roster.
All of the TE's who actually get regular game-reps are gone.
So apart from the QB, OL, TE, and potentially RB and WR...we are all set for next year!

Trying to guess who will actually be on the roster next year is pointless. Probably most of the offense isn’t currently committed or on the roster this year.

I mean that’s pretty damn concerning. Hugh has pretty middle of the road results in the portal.

Yep, and his results on the portal for the really big areas of need (OL and QB) have completely sucked so far. He's going to have to magically turn that around for us to be decent next year.

If he does we will take two in the portal. Also, there 2nd string guy (Simmons) has a couple of years left. So it will be and interesting decision for the kid.
I am not too worried about it but Duece has a release similar to ward.

I'm not saying he won't flip but him coming to Auburn (paid or not) is still alot better for Auburn than OM.
