Looks like Auburn will be getting very desperate here in the days to come. Also, if you're in favor of a Bill Clark hire please explain to me your reasoning. He's never even been a part of a Power 5 staff...

Steele reported out of the running. Now Napier is taking himself out to? I also heard he took himself out of the South Carolina job, which led me to believe he was a shoe in for Auburn. What the heck happened?

Basically everyone on here has been critical of Gus. There were, however, a lot of people wondering if we could actually hire someone better than Gus. That is very much in doubt...

My guess is they could have had him if they really wanted him. They sat on their hands, everyone is aware of what a sham it's been, and he was like 'frick those incompetent losers, I'm out.'

He turned down the job because we wouldn’t be flexible with the staff he wanted to hire. Apparently the powers that be demanded he keep Steele or Garner

"Latest on Napier:

We’re told he pulled his name from consideration after he was offered limited flexibility on staff hires. Napier wanted full authority. It’s a ballsy move for a younger coach, but he’s not your normal young coach. His pedigree is outstanding and he also has that trailblazer attitude.

He’s the kind of guy who walks when he’s seen enough. He’s heard the chatter about Auburn’s political treachery, saw it with his own eyes with the staff edict and said: Nope, I’m good.

Interesting twist to say the least."

Time for a new hashtag #CleanHouse

The boosters are going to kill Auburn.

This is officially a shite show. Hearing Sark is not interested. And I hear Tony Elliot flat-out declined to even give an interview.

Our only hope now is is Kiffin decides to jump ship once again.

Time to post the email addresses again. These dudes need to be afraid to get to their suites on gamedays at this point. Has to be the last time this is allowed.

If that's the truth, then we are wrong. If a coach wants control over who is on his staff he should be allowed to do it. Pearl(if reports are true, eh was told to keep Person), is a good example of how it causes problems.

They need to get him back and let him control his own football program. There are not many, if any at all out there, equal to his credentials, that we can fall back on.

If this ends up w Steele or Clark, who has never coached even under a P5 program, and has never even left Alabama, then no way will donors support anything less than a quality coach like Napier.

Anyone hear Cole Cueblic?

What was reiterated to me (from radio that I just missed) Napier wanted to know if he reported to Allen Greene and he didn't like the answer.

(didn't hear = that's why asking)

I don’t blame him for turning Auburn down. It’s about time to clean freaking house around the football program.
