You definitely missed my point

Whitlow and Shivers have done well for themselves. The problem is that we were in a position to start Whitlow or give Shivers 20 snaps.

That’s evidence of poor recruiting at the position. And because this is a recruiting thread that’s what I was pointing out

boom

eta: "That's the best place for me," Brooks told Auburn Undercover. "I just want to stay home -- 334."

quote:

When he spoke to Harsin, outside linebackers coach Bert Watts and defensive line coach Nick Eason on Friday, that sealed the deal for Auburn. “It went good," Brooks said. "They're real genuine guys. Coach Harsin -- he's just straight forward. He's not going to beat around the bush with you. He's going to tell you the truth. I also talked to Coach Watts and he's a good dude, too. And Coach Eason."

Top 20 class. Got to give Harsin credit for the recovery after he came in post early signing day.

When he averaged 5 yards a carry for his career with his senior year still left to play.

Harsin signs more DEs this year than Gus the last 6 years.

The Gus plays favorites thing is a message board myth imo.

Then explain to me why, after havign clear evidence that Tank was the best player on the field, he was not the first RB on the field every game?

How many great RB's did a injury uncover; that would have been another bench riding transfer today?

It seems odd to me there were no quotes mentioning DC Derek Mason. I know there was talk that Mason could still make a jump to an NFL team. Not sure what the chances are of that happening at this point.

Another small update on Dreshaun Miller.

quote:

"I have several offers so far, but the ones I really talk to the most are Mississippi State, Auburn, Boise State and Michigan State," Miller said. "Playing in the SEC is one of the things I have really looked at."
I think it was rumored to be an Auburn/UGA battle, but this sounds like UGA has been replaced with Miss St. This still feels like all Auburn to me though.

Considering Mason was in a video yesterday at AU practice, I’d say slim to none.

Rumors were about Mason and the Texans but they hired Lovie Smith. That was weeks ago

Brandon Jacob’s son, Brayden, just got his first offer from Southern Illinois. He has yet to play a HS game.

Sounds like, from 247 and Rivals notes, Holden Geriner outperformed Gunner Stockton at the regional 7v7 in myrtle beach yesterday.

KN noted that 247 will adjust rankings next week in a thread about Geriner being underrated. No telling if that means Geriner will get a bump but perhaps Keith knows something

Well that won't sit well with some people.

Hoping this helps support the "QB whisperer" narrative for our offensive staff.
